The Backdraft RT3 Roadster is not a kit, it is a hand crafted replica of the infamous British roadster with an American V8 that captured every car lover's heart in 1965. It combines the historic looks of the original with the modern performance underpinnings of a BMW 3 series. The result is a stunning recreation that maintains legendary visuals while offering industry leading comfort and safety. Through continuous improvement and refinement the Backdraft Roadster has reached the top of its class for price versus performance and features. This is a very highly optioned, custom tailored Backdraft RT3 built by Vintage Motorsports in 2010 that would cost well over $80,000 to build now. The classic Indigo Blue paint with Wimbleton White Stripes is simply stunning. The fully polished Roush Racing 427 SR engine with twisted wedge cam makes 509bhp with 518 ft/lbs of torque(dyno tested). No expense spared on this build. The long list of options includes a high powered audio system including Sirius radio, period correct reverse speedometer, wood Moto-Lita steering wheel, custom car cover, 3M Invis-a-shield Paint Protection, custom illuminated blue light/red needle Speedhut guages. Ceramic Coated Headers, Ceramic Coated Sidepipes, 18" knock-off wheels, heated seats, custom tonneau cover, and a 3.64 LSD. Most importantly this car is titled as a 1965 vehicle in the state of Montana(but located in northern NJ). This makes registration and insurance(classic car policy) in any state easy and a lot less expensive. I am the original owner and simply do not use the car enough. The car has been adult driven(less than 1k/yr) and stored (on BendPak lift) in my garage.
