For Sale: This is a rare, beautiful super car! Built by the legend, Carroll Shelby. #004 of 249 ever made. This car is in pristine condition with 470 original miles showing on the odometer. Since purchasing this car from RK Motors in NC approximately 3 years ago, it has been driven only 23 miles! Kept in a climate control garage, this car has not been exposed to the elements. It was the first Shelby vehicle built with an all Shelby-designed chassis, body, and suspension. The factory model came with an Oldsmobile L47 Aurora V8. A limited production of 249 cars had many speculating that the Series 1 might become an instant classic and one of the big opportunities of the late 1990s.This authentic Shelby Series 1 is one of 6 that were painted black out of the 249 cars produced, and is the only car of the series that included Garnet Red LeMans stripes nose to tail. It has the factory optioned 4.0L V8 engine and 6 speed manual transmission, and was advertised to launch 0-62MPH in 4.4s.
