Hi, you are viewing an Absolutely Beautiful 1975 Bricklin with only 6,600 ORIGINAL miles on it, ever !. I purchased this car a couple of years ago from the last owner that had the car for almost 30 years. He bought it in from the founder of the Bricklin Owners Club in 1987 with only 2,800 miles on it then. I have a copy of the title from when he bought it Documenting that and it goes with the car to the new owner. He sold it to me with 5,800 miles on it. I have only put 800 miles more on it. This car is an original time capsule with its fantastic original interior (check out the pictures, the interior is original and not redone !) . The body is also in amazing condition. It still has its original high gloss colored acrylic body (over fiberglass and over steel). These cars were not painted, the acrylic has the color made into it. Being 40 years old, most of these have faded thru time and then were painted by their owners, Not this one !! And the acrylic is still very High Gloss ! It has a couple of minor stress cracks in the middle roof area that is basically very unnoticeable (this car has the smallest ones I have seen). I have never seen one that has none at all there, and it is because of the original hydraulic /electric gullwing door system. They all had small cracks in that area even when these were almost brand-new. That is why most are changed to the air door set-up (Terry Tanner,THE Bricklin expert of Virginia Bricklin) can explain why and how it is done. He is a great guy. Anyway, because the car has such low mileage and is so original and the original hydraulic/electric system still works great, I havent had the heart to change it yet and some original fanatics like myself may never change it. Obviously its not an emergency, because us 3 owners over the last 40 years haven't changed it yet. But if you are going to keep it forever, I think it should be done eventually (I think it costs about $1,500.00). Everything works on this Bricklin , including the headlights and all of the electric and all of the Gauges and the Ice Cold Original A.C. ( that is rare ! ). Even the original Stereo Radio, Original Speakers AND EVEN THE ORIGINAL FLIP-OVER CLOCK NUMBERS built into the radio works Great !! The exhaust is also still original and is in great shape and still sounds perfect. This car runs and drives so much better than you could even imagine. The engine, trans, brakes, suspension, steering,etc... all perform beautifully and it is very, very tight. It is just an Absolute Pleasure to drive, it really is. It is very hard to believe its age when you drive it. I have had a few Deloreans thru the years also, and in my opinion, there is no comparison between the two cars. The Bricklin has an American V8 engine and trans (both Ford) with a solid axle rear end and is pretty much the typical American V8 bulletproof type of car. My Deloreans were in the shops more than they were on the roads, they had endless issues, honestly. Ok, back to this car. The original wheels are also in amazing condition. These are not faded like most are, and there is NO curb rash on them at all, that's pretty rare for 40 years old. In fact, only the 2 rear tires are new, the fronts are the ORIGINALS and are very,very nice. You can tell they are original also, because even though they are the same exact (and correct) tires as the rears, the fronts have the original different tread pattern on them that Radial TA's have not had on them for many, many years. To summarize, I really don't think there is a car on earth that you can buy that is as exotic and rare for the money as this. I am sure these cars will be a great investment. The attention this Bricklin gets is unbelievable, even more so when you open the Gullwing Doors ! It receives more attention than my 1964 Vette. Everybody at car shows think these cars are $50,00000 to $100,000.00. They should be, maybe one day they will be. I am selling a couple of cars out of my collection for a real estate transaction, and I appreciate your reading this, and if you have any questions feel free to ask.
