History ;The Daimler company was purchased by Jaguar in 1960 , and it did not take the engineers at Jaguar long to realize the potential of the Daimler 2.5 liter engine , designed by Edward Turner . With very little work , the engine was adapted to fit the mark ll saloon . Little other mechanical work was required , other than revising front suspension spring rates due to the lightness of the aluminum V8 .The Borg Warner type 35 automatic gearbox was fitted as standard . Externally , the Daimler was distinguished from the Jaguar by the fitment of a fluted grille and boot plinth , a swept "D" on the bonnet and hubcaps , and a Daimler script on the boot lid . Inside , the jaguar dashboard was retained , but a split bench front seat was fitted , with a revised centre console . Veneer quality was improved , and a bold "D" was featured on the steering wheel . Without incurring vast development costs , the new model gave the Daimler marque a new lease of life , satisfying the Daimler dealers and customers .The Daimler launched in 1962 and was aimed at a more traditional and professional clientele , which was reflected in the price . The new Daimler saloon outperformed the 2.4 liter Jaguar , by having a 0-60mph time of 13.8 seconds , and a top speed of 110mph . The model offered remarkable standards of smoothness and quietness . Total production was 13,018 vehicles between 1962 and 1967 . DescriptionThis is a 1965 Daimler 2.5L V8 sedan Ex California car , good solid body . This Daimler has a dark green exterior that goes ideal with its light green leather interior , the original interior looks great for its age . This model is an automatic right side driver , with AM/FM stereo , drum breaks , steel hubcaps , fog lights , and full instrumentation , comfortable seats , sits six people , large trunk , great classic style car with wood dash and wood trim interior through out . This vehicle has been sitting for a while , so it will need to be serviced before its street worthy . it is missing the valve covers but has the air cleaner and every thing else . This Daimler has no title but I did find a copy of the title in the glove box that may help the new buyer getting a new title . plus I will provide a notarized bill of sale . It is sold as is with no warranty .

Extremely rare 1963 Daimler SP250. This is the type of vehicle car collectors look for to complete a collection as so few exist, let alone are located in the United States. Not many people have heard or seen a Daimler SP250 with total production numbers for this vehicle over a 5 year run at only 2,654 total produced with Hagerty Insurance believing that only 2500 may still exist. This car was designed as a sports car by British manufacturer Coventry and was the last car launched by Daimler before it was sold to Jaguar Cars in 1960. It originated because Daimler company wanted a saloon car power by a V8 engine, in 1960 Jaguar offered their influence offering a more improved chassis with less flex. Built by the factory as a fiberglass bodied car this example is and powered by a “baby” 2.5L Hemi and with the optional equipment listed below. Optional equipment: Automatic TransmissionWire wheels Front and rear bumpersAdjustable steering columnWindscreen washersHeater. This example has a very original appearance with at least one repaint over its life. The trim and badging all appear to be original and has some pitting and patina from age. The convertible top and interior are in great shape. The engine runs out well and shifts easily. The engine appears original, although a powerglide transmission was installed at some point. It does come with a Daimler automatic 3 speed transmission also. The undercarriage of this SP250 is extremely nice and solid. This is really a quality car that can be enjoyed for years to come as it is… it isn't a fresh frame off restored car and isn't priced as such. If you have any questions or need specifics please ask away. This is the first Daimler SP250 that we have had cross our path and truly feel that it is a collectors car. Not many exist that are in quality condition, and those that do, are usually housed in top Car Collectors collections such as Jay Leno. Speaking of which, this car was purchased out of a 540 car collection on the CNBC Television show “The Car Chasers”. This is the first time we are offering it up for sale. Again if you have any questions or would like additional photographs please do not hesitate to contact us we do check our emails throughout the day. The Engine: The engine bristled with modern technology, including aluminum heads with fully machined hemispherical combustion chambers, hardened valve seats, and 70 degrees between the valves. A very high-mounted central camshaft with aluminum pushrods opened said valves, and double valve springs closed them reliably at engine speeds over 6000 rpm. A finned cast aluminum oil pan carried more than 7 quarts of oil. With 8.2:1 compression, the compact, lightweight engine made 140 hp and 155 lb-ft of what was often described as "turbine-smooth torque.” -MotorTrend About: The British Daimler Motor Company of the 1950s (no relation to Daimler-Benz) was a dead brand walking, primarily making limousines and hearses for the UK upper class and royalty. A fiberglass-bodied sports car with outrageous American-inspired styling seemed nearly impossible. But that’s exactly what appeared on the Daimler stand in 1959 at the New York Auto Show. The Daimler SP250 – originally referred to as the Daimler Dart before Dodge objected – possessed controversial styling. The car’s gaping grille and whisk-like bumper overriders in particular have caused some to refer to the SP250 as an angry catfish. But performance was vivid (120 mph+) due to lightweight construction and a sparkling little 2.5-liter hemi V8. Disc brakes on all four wheels gave excellent stopping power. On the minus side, early cars – known as A-spec cars – lacked rigidity, and doors were known to fly open when being flogged over rough pavement. This was later corrected in 1960 with the stiffened B-spec cars, but heavy and vague steering plagued all of the model’s guises. With production of just over 2,500, surviving cars are prized and surprisingly, several specialists cater well to the car’s needs. -Hagerty Insurance Please Read: This vehicle is being listed by Flat Twelve Gallery, a licensed Texas Dealer, as seen on CNBC's television show “The Car Chasers”, and is located in Lubbock, Texas. We have photographed this car, although if there are specific items you would like us to inspect please contact us before bidding. We have assisted in the sale of numerous celebrity and high profile vehicles including Bella's Truck from the movie "Twilight", The "Fast and Furious" S2000, The "Transformers" Sector 7 Sandrail and Charlie Sheen's Plymouth Fury to name a few. Please feel confident in our feedback and years that we have been conducting business on eBay, our descriptions and the fact that people often write that our cars “Are better the described” This vehicle is being sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed written or implied. RARE 1948 Steyr-Daimler-Puch Graz Motorcycle PLEASE NOTE THE LOCATION OF THE CARBURATOR, YOU WON'T FIND VINTAGE MOTORCYCLES WITH THIS PARTICULAR CARBURATOR CONFIGURATION, WHICH ADDS TO IT'S RARITY. THIS MOTORCYCLE RESEMBLES A BOARD TRACK RACER. Motor runs, we had it running one and a half year ago, tranny does not work. This would make an awesome restoration project. Johann Puch first produced bicycles in 1889 in a small workshop called "Fahrradfabrikation Strauchergasse 18 a" in Graz. In 1928 the company merged with Austro-Daimler and became a part of the new Austro-Daimler-Puchwerke. This company in its turn merged in 1934 with Steyr AG to form Steyr-Daimler-Puch. Like all enterprises of its kind, the Puch production plants had to change to arms production during World War II. During the period immediately after the war, late 1945 to 1947, the factory was requisitioned and run by the British Army (R.E.M.E.) In 1949, an assembly cooperation agreement was signed with Fiat in Turin. The 1950s to the mid-1970s saw a sharp increase in production of motorcycles, bicycles and mopeds. Even though Puch was a part of Steyr-Daimler-Puch, it still manufactured products under its own name, as well as for Steyr-Puch and other companies. Puch gave up racing in the 1950s and split-single production ended around 1970 I HAVE RESEARCHED, AND CANNOT FIND ANOTHER MOTORCYCLE LIKE THIS ONE, WITH THE CARB MOUNTED FORWARD. FEEL FREE TO MAKE AN REASONABLE OFFER. THIS MOTORCYCLE WILL BE SOLD, "AS IS". LOCAL PICK UP ONLY. THANKS.

Great British Marque...Daimlers are the choice of the Royal Family since King George! True survivor, has not been restored. Runs terrific (70+ mph on the highway), tracks true, stops great, steering is tight, transmission shifts well in all gears (preselector fluid flywheel is unique and fun once you get used to it). Engine leaks a small bit of oil, but it doesn't burn any! Body is solid, no apparent rust, but has some nicks and scratches consistent with its age. All chrome trim is in good shape - no rust. Interior is in OK shape, but would be one of the first things for attention. I have a box of small parts that will be included (gaskets and such). FUN CAR TO DRIVE AND GETS LOTS OF ATTENTION! Ready for that summer drive or car show! Contact me with any questions. Shipping (from Northern VA) is buyers responsibility...I can meet a shipper to assist with loading or you can drive it home.
