1972 Rickman Montesa 250cc The Rickman brothers, Don and Derrick were master craftsman of beautiful motocross chassis. The Rickman’s realized that for them to grow their company, they needed to be able to supply a complete motorcycle instead of just the frame kits that they had offered up until this time. They found the Spanish company, Montesa a willing supplier of lightweight and powerful 2-stroke engines. Montesa’s motorcycle sales were stagnant, especially in America as the Japanese had jumped into the motocross market with vigor, so the alliance made sense. The bike offered is in super-original, untouched condition. The Montesa 250cc engine is in great condition with good power. The gearbox shifts well, and the suspension and brakes work well. The bike retains the original exhaust pipe and carb. Fresh from a tune-up the bike is “ready to go”!
