You are bidding on a 1996 MZ "Silverstar Classic" Gespann factory sidecar outfit in very good condition.These don't come up too often,especially with such low mileage(3485 km = 2165 miles).Really a fun bike to take the wife,kids,grandkids,or dogs out to catch some fresh air.Here are the details: I bought this bike a couple of years ago from the original owner.He didn't put a whole lot of miles on it,and neither have I,so its time for someone else to enjoy. He had an EFM automatic clutch installed on the bike,which I never really cared for.I recently had it converted back over to the original clutch setup,and it works great.I also had a new cam belt installed at the same time,along with a valve adjustment,new plug,oil & filter change,and a new battery.The bike is ready to put some miles on it,and these Rotax 4-valve motors are known for many trouble free miles.They sound like a "rock crusher" running,but are very reliable.Parts are readily available in the US either from ATK or KTM dealers. The sidecar is a factory fitted Velorex model,and matches up nicely to the MZ.All factory attachments,wiring help the bike handle as it should,as all lean angles/dimensions are factory specified,and not a "universal" setup. I swapped out the taillight,and turn signals for something a little more "classic",but I have the originals if you would want to swap them back.I also removed the center stand as it serves no purpose with the sidecar fitted.It is also included.I also have the original owners manual & factory shop manual which also come with the bike. All chrome plating is in great shape,with no rust or corrosion.Paintwork is decent,and I would rate it a 7 out of 10,as there are little scratches here & there(see pics).Nothing major,but the paintwork would benefit from a good buffing.No rips or tears in the seats,and new grips have also been fitted. Overall,a really nice low mileage example of a classic sidecar rig offered at a reasonable "Buy It Now" price,or feel free to shoot me an offer.
