At this time, in the history of the Auburn they were largely built by hand. This produces a full rolling chassis, which then is mated with hand laminated, steel reinforced fiberglass body, complete with hand formed 14 gauge aluminum hood panels. The body has 12 coats of rubbed base clear to give a deep enduring finish. Specially selected rich leather touch material and the best of the Hartz convertible topping set off the vehicle interior while chromium plated bronze castings and stainless steel detail pieces complete the exterior. From its inception, this vehicle has served an exclusive clientele.
