I brought the Norton into Canada myself in October 2012, along with other bikes as a retirement hobby. Just don't have the time or space so cutting down my collection. I paid the GST and duties on entry into Canada. I still have the British ownership as I did not want to surrender the British ownership...have quite a bit of provenance including original Log Book. This bike went to a Dealer in Ireland in 1939 and escaped the potential for being scrapped as part of the war effort. The Norton starts relatively quickly.....have had it running summer of 2013 and 2014. Just took it around my backyard in 1st gear as it is not plated.....it was slipping into 2nd on occasion which may have been because I was on grass...plan was to look at the Gear this summer and replace if necessary. Gears seem to be easy to find from my research. I have the British Safety done in October 2011. The Norton is located in Greater Toronto area, Canada. Will be sold with Bill of Sale and the original British ownership. Buyer responsible for transportation/collection although I can provide reputable local transport companies in this regard.
