1958 Velorex Oskar. This is a rare example of an early production Velorex Oskar as indicated by the low frame number 1596 (out of approximately 15,000 Velorexes ever built between early 1950 and late 1960s). Velorexes that come up for sale are typically later models that were produced in mid- to late 1960s. Unlike later models, early production Oskar has springs in the front suspension instead of shock absorbers. Very few Oskars have survived. As was often the practice in the old days, this Oskar received an upgraded engine sometimes after 1963. A two-cylinder, 350 cc engine with a dynastarter replaced the 250cc single-cylinder making this Velorex the best combination of rarity of an Oskar with drivability of a more powerful engine. The 350cc engine makes the Velorex capable of keeping up with modern traffic and the electric starter is infinitely better to the hand-lever attached to a kickstarter shaft. The Oskar had its frame stripped and repainted in original color. The fenders were restored and repainted, new tires and tubes fitted on repainted rims. New wiring installed. The engine received a thorough ($2,500-worth) overhaul by Florida-based Jawa restorer. Crank shaft was rebuilt and balanced, new bearings, seals, clutch, primary duplex chain were fitted. The cylinder heads we re-bored and new pistons and rings fitted. The gearbox was cleaned and inspected, no additional work was required. Dynastarter was cleaned, inspected and tested. Ignition points replaced, the engine tuned. Velorex starts and drives as it should. The only thing this Oskar needs is to have the outer panels installed and the windshield fitted (the glass and rubber seal are included). I recently imported high-quality set of “skins” that consists of outer panels, upholstery, window frames with new windows and the convertible top as well as a set of hardware needed to attach the panels to the frame. This kit is considered to be the most authentic reproduction of the original. I can supply detailed pictures of an original Velorex to help the next owner with the work.

Ready to ride. There is a dent on the fender and the rear tail light on the fender for the sidecar has been replaced. A sidestep was added. This 1981 BMW R 100 T motorcycle is in tip top condition. Does not leak oil. Cards have been synchronized. Valves have been adjusted. New block tires on the front and rear. Comes with Krauser locking saddlebags with keys. New steering stabilizer for the sidecar mount. A bullhorn was added for the passenger on the side car along with a rear view mirror. New shock on the sidecar. The back rest has a small tear in it from where the passenger has been sitting on the seat to slide into the car. There is a small trunk behind the seat that locks. There is also a luggage rack. The motorcycle is all original except for the rake adjustment that was put onto the forks to accommodate the sidecar. This bike is clean no dents on the tank. There are some small gravel chips on the front fender. New AGM battery. The on off switch is cracked and missing a small piece however this does not affect the performance. Gas tank is clean inside. This Bike will start on its first try. There is nothing needed for this bike. I purchased this bike two years ago and has been garage kept. It is a daily rider if chose to be. Bike runs great, plenty of power, rides smooth. passenger seat and trunk are adjustable. quick release bags. radio and CB come on but don't seem to work. have been on several road trips with this bike ,always does really good in mountains and freeway.The sidecar is a new setup . just added on. put a new Duracell gel battery on this season and always change the oil every season .sorry no reverse , cruse control doesn't seem to work . overall condition is good for this year . runs great and comfortable ride. plenty of pictures to show condition . some paint work was done on the red because of sun fade. The sidecar has a new tire and tube and wheel bearings . we covered the seat with a regular car seat cover . the seat isn't real bad ,we just wanted it to look better. There is no lock for the side car trunk area ,behind the seat .I have the bike fore sale locally and reserve the right to end listing at any time.

I have for sale a vintage rig that anyone would be proud to ride. If you have the desire to ride but the years have taken their toll--not as strong, partner not as small, and the concerns of dumping the bike and riders--three wheels just took care of that. Not sure about starting and stopping in traffic, no problem--it is automatic, put it in gear, give it the gas, step and squeeze the brakes. It is great fun in town or for a sunny afternoon trip, and perfect for a trip to the store. If you have never ridden with a sidecar before--it can be learned quickly but needs some respect; slow down and enjoy. The bike and sidecar are in very good condition with nothing to be repaired, both have been well maintained. It has been kept inside and comes with a cover for the motorcycle, manuals for driving a sidecar outfit, and Velorex mounting instructions. Come take a look, I am selling it because I do not need 2 bikes, and the other one has more sentimental value. This is a unit sale for both the CB750A and the sidecar, I will not split.
