1983 Honda Ascot VT500, This is probably the most fun you will ever have on a motorcycle riding alone. It is the V-twin Ascot, not the single. It is water cooled and has shaft drive. They only made this model two years. It is very light and agile (about 400lbs). It has 48.5 horsepower and a six speed transmission. Everything works on it and is all original except the front turn signals are replaced with smaller and nicer ones. It has a precise fitting sport windshield added and sport bags that are excellent, including a passenger seat bag and matching side bags. It has a matching tank bag that I will throw in with it, but I don't think is shown. It has excellent sport tires on it in good shape. The seat does need to be recovered and I would add some jell or foam, but it is alright to ride as it is, the seat is just cracking due to age. It was owned by a Harley mechanic for years and has always been well maintained. I have an aftermarket shop manual for it. I am getting old and have another bike. I hate to sell it, but that is life. 1983 Honda Ascot VT500, 1983 Honda Ascot for sale as a parts bike or fixer-upper. Runs well but needs a new water pump. Water pump has a slight drip out of the weep hole after a ride so it needs to be replaced. The bike has a new battery, rear tire and aftermarket exhaust pipes. I also put a 3.5 gallon CX500 tank on it to give me extra touring range. The bike does not have an odometer (old one broke as is common on this model) so I replaced it with a speedometer/trip meter from another bike. When the old odometer broke about six years ago the bike had 19,500.Title is in my name, clear and tags are good till 2016. Asking $550.00 or best offer. I have a bike most people have not even heard of.. it's a 1983 honda vt500ft ascot water cooled but looks like air cooled. It's a drive shafts driven bike with 6 gears. A very comfortable ride. The gauges do not work probably something in the wiring. The motor has been rebuilt. Have a complete parts bike to go with it. I have clean title for the running bike..
