Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE For sale is a cult-status 1994 Harley FXLR "Low-Rider Custom". The bike comes with all Harley accessories for full-dress touring: leather saddle bags, two different seats, luggage rack, a windshield, and three different sissy bars (low, medium, and high). These Harley accessories alone are $4000, not counting all the chrome upgrades. It is aqua-marine and silver color, and has chrome everywhere--even the brake rotors 1994 was the final year of a series of Harley bikes known as "FXR" bikes, built from 1984-1994 with the Evolution 88 cu. in. engine (“1340cc Big Twin”). Highly customized straight from the factory, the FXLR Low Rider Custom is the only other FX-series bike that comes stock with a 21-inch front rim (the other being the FXDWG Dyna Wide Glide). After 1994, the FXR bikes were no longer produced, but the frame was kept for the big Harley touring bikes (Ultra and Road glides). At the time, the FXR bikes had the strongest frames of all Harley's, plus the engine was attached to the frame with rubber mounts to reduce vibration--unique among Harley's at that time. The FXR engine and bike was hand-built in America, and it just became too expensive to produce. In 1995 the "Dyna Glide" was introduced to replace the FXR models, and parts were machined for simplicity and low cost. The FXR is considered by many riders and writers as the best handling Harley ever made, and, among true Harley enthusiasts who do not want the huge touring bikes, then FXR is the Harley to own if you want great handling. Prior owner was an airline pilot who kept the bike in perfect condition. Plus, he added more chrome, changed the cams (Harley upgrades), re-jetted the carbs for more power, and added Python pipes. It has a "compact windshield" that goes with it, too. It provides about the same coverage and wind protection as the windshield on the Heritage Softail Classic, and goes on and off in about 5-8 minutes. The pipes on the bike are Pythons. I do have the original exhaust system, minus the heat shields. Seat height is 27.5 Inches.Mileage is around 23,000. I bought the bike in January 2010, two years after the arrival of twin sons. My wife convinced me to stay off the motorcycles, including six bikes others that I own. And I did. I have hardly ridden the bike since purchase. It has been kept in a climate controlled garage. I looked for several months before finding this Harley, which was meticulously maintained by the previous owner in FL.It is beautiful and solid, but since I hardly ever ride, it is time to find a new home for it. It hurts to sell, though. It is sculpture and history on wheels.Location is Stanley, VA.Thanks.
