Great Daily RiderKymco Xciting 500Ri ABSThis is an awesome bike, only selling so I can get a bigger version. I ride this daily and it is great, no shifting, no loud pipes, lots of storage. This was my first motorcycle and it was a great choice.Great condition 2009 Kymco Xciting 500RI with ABS Maxi Scooter. Better than a Burgman 400, Majesty 400 or Downtown 300, if you're tall or a bigger guy this scooter cannot be beat for comfort, reliability and hauling capability. Get 50mpg on 87 octane regular gas. This maxi is loaded with $2000 worth of options and truly, it needs nothing. No service, no parts, just load this thing up and ride across country. This 500cc maxi is an awesome tourer. You can cruise all day long at 75mph (GPS) and you can hit 90mph if necessary. Plenty of HP and plenty of torque. Kymco is one of the best built scooters in the world, Taiwanese made.Besides the standard Kymco 500RI with ABS options listed at the end, I have added the following to the bike:Sport windshield and a medium factory windscreen. 2 windscreens total. Givi offers a full windshield for $170.Givi heavy duty Monokey Top case MountGivi E360 Grey Monokey top case (will hold a full face helmet and a lot more)Admore LED lighting kit mod for the E360 ($300 option) giving you full turn signal and brake lighting within the edge of the top case - a huge safety option, people behind can see you a mile away with these lights.Nelson Rigg CL-855 Side luggage and rain covers, the side bags hold 30litres a piece including a helmet each. They attach or remove in seconds.The side bags and top case get you an additional 100 litres of storage PLUS the normal underseat storage. I have hauled a ton of gear with this setup and with the tall windscreen and side wind deflectors the bike handles like a dream. All possible lightning is changed out to LEDS to save power except for the headlight and turn signals. The H4 headlight is a high output and legal Philips headlamp that offers awesome visibility.The headlamp assembly has been swapped out for a new European version which has the DUAL SIDE running lamps. I changed out these bulbs for high output LEDS so you have maximum visibility, plus it looks a lot more awesome than USA stock.Newer rear TireNew clear bezel for the instruments cluster, no scratches, no fogging.I added Aluminum Mirror extensions that give you a much wider view than stock.Handles perfect, starts every time, runs cool, has never overheated, never been in an accident, never been raced. You can ride 2 up with ease and you can ride feet forward or back (you can't do this on a lot of other Maxis).The ABS is a MUST. This is the problem with the Tmax, the ones in the states did not have ABS. You cannot make a tire slip with Bosch ABS system on this bike, I have tried, even in the rain or a panic stop, the bike stops smoothly without drama every time. I would not own a 500 or any other scooter without ABS.
