Unfortunately selling my precious!! This bike is fun, fast and loud! Never dropped never tracked and clean title. No performance mods except a slip on exhaust that sounds amazing! This bike is mechanicaly sound and only needs a chain and sprokets soon!(bike is totally ridable)  If you want to take it to a mechanic to have it gone through I'd be more than willing. I bought the bike 3ish years ago and unfortunately I got one of the 08's with the defective cranks from the manufacturer that Had a hair line fracture that created a loud whine at idle and low RPM's. It didn't effect the bike in any other way. I spent a little over $4000.00 for a new crank, crank bearings, and piston rings, water pump, along with fork seals and brakes.(essentially a new motor ) I know that's sounds scary but don't trip!! This bike is reliable and great for commute, you can squirt through any traffic. I've also recently put a new battery in it and oil. All work has been done by Eastbay Motorsports and I have all records from them. The bike shows 16,000 miles but the crank and all  associated parts were replaced less than 7,000 miles ago. Come test ride the bike you won't be disappointed!! But bring your helmet and money cause if you wreck it your buying it!!I'm not in any hurry to sell the bike so don't bother with lowballing!! $6,500obo is pretty firm! I'm lossing out on the money I've put into this bike. Departing with my beloved Buell XB12SCG. This bike was my daily commuter for the past two years. It never once gave me problems and starts up right away.For those unfamiliar with Buell, it was a division of Harley run by Erik Buell, a rogue engineer. He made American sports bikes with modified Sportster engines. This model has all sorts of interesting innovations. Fuel and oil are stored in the frame, the exhaust sits below the bike, it's belt-driven, the front brake has a perimeter rotor, the air box sits under a translucent cover where a fuel tank would be located on a more traditional bike. It's really fascinating. Unfortunately, Harley sold off the division in 2009. Full specs for the model are here: :// /motorcycles/buell_lightning_xb12s_2007.phpIn a nutshell, it's a small, light, extremely well-handling naked with about 100 horses and 84 foot-pounds of torque. And it vibrates like a Harley. It's a beast. All routine service performed at Oakland Harley-Davidson (I have paperwork).No major mods were added. I bought and installed OEM mirrors, and an engine scoop for better airflow to the motor. I added a grill to the headlight (from the XB9S model). The previous owner removed CARB emissions equipment and installed adjustable brake and clutch levers. He also removed the muffler guard and couldn't find it at the time of sale. And he dented one of the header pipes (you can see the damage in the pics). It has almost 19k miles on it. I'm selling because I no longer have access to a garage and I have two other bikes. This bike has always been garaged or covered during my ownership. And I've never dropped it. Comes with original owner's manual, spare key and paperwork for service. Asking $4,000 OBO. Cash only. Hi, im selling my beautiful 1984 Honda XR500R-E, its in unbelievable original condition, all stock except for the baja designs lighting kit, its street plated in california, it has 370 original documented miles, this is not restored, it was kept up and ridden very little over the years, always parked in a  garage & covered, has the original scott grips that were on it when it was first sold, shiny plastic everywhere you look, never been in the dirt or rain, never fallen over, starts on the first kick, the carbs have been refreshed an valves checked, also has new dunlop dual sport tires with less than 75 miles on them, this is a great bike to collect or to ride!, theres very few like this in this original condition!, everything works, registration was just paid & clean title in my name. I want a vespa now but need to sell this first! My loss is your gain!I bought this bike brand new from Hayward's East Bay Motorsports in July 2016 and still under warantee.Mostly has been sitting in my carpeted garage, attached to a battery charger, with 53 miles on it. I start the engine weekly to keep it warm.This bike has been babied and never been on the freeway. Chevron premium gas only x1.I also have hired a mechanic to install a crash cage (black color valued at $350) from impaktech ( :// /product/crash-cages/ ) and I have the matching subcage (valued at $200) in a box -- this part is a no brainer to install ( :// /product/sub-cage/ ) I also have 2 motorcycle covers, the bag on the bike new from amazon, and front and back stands I bought brand new ($120 value). The bike has never left the garage since the crash cage was installed.This is a brand new bike, no dealership fees. A previous interested buyer almost bought from me but decided to buy brand new at a dealership... he walked out with a 2016 abs model for $6200... Great condition. Brand new rear tire, oil and filter change, and safety check. Front tire still fine. I have had this great bike for 20 years. I put about 1K miles on per year on the back roads, occasional commute, and once a year 3-4 day trip. Has factory side cases keyed alike to ignition. Has stock seat and lower Corbin seat. Has original owner's manuals. Heated grips. BMW accessory power plug and standard 12V plug for phone. A few minor scratches. Smoothest engine I have ever had and I've had many. Looks great with some vintage cafe style charm. Runs great. ABS not working since new battery but I don't miss it. My bad back requires something very upright now, otherwise I would keep it forever. Always starts, even though I often don't ride it for a month at a time. Always garaged or covered.

Excellent condition, touring & dynamic packages, single owner, used as a daily commuter, never dropped, garage parked, regular maintenance by the dealer (SF BMW & SJ BMW). Just had major 18k mile service plus a new rear tire, new chain and sprockets, and a 21 point inspection. Minor scruff damage on rear swingarm, visible in one of the photos. This occurred when the chain came loose. Headlight has a crack, hasn't affected light quality at night in the rain. Cash only (low ball offers will be ignored).
