Definitely an eye catching Big Dog and is extremely unique! I haven't seen any like this one! The Highly Desirable Beautiful Gloss Black Base Paint Job with Metallic Red Scallop Accents & White Pin-Striping is in great condition! I'm definitely a fan! The under carriage of the frame has some very light scrapes from entering a driveway. I encounter this on almost every Big Dog Motorcycle that I acquire because the motorcycles sit so low to the ground. The front fender is in great shape with one small pin tip sized chip on the rear side of the front fender. The gas tank is in good shape with the exception of one light 1/2" sized hairline scratch midway through the tank on the top right side. There are also some light hairline scratches where the gas tank meets up with the front of the seat. The rear fender has some light surface scratching from having a two up seat installed at some time & point. The most notable is a series of three 1/2" sized hairline scratches next to the right sissy bar strut plug. There are some light surface scratches throughout the bike from being dusted off with a dust cloth. Overall the paint is in great condition! A few of the engine bolts have some light rust stains from getting moisture on them & not being immediately wiped off. The chrome on the outside front forks has about three 1/2" gouges on the left & right fork. The front fork bolt on brace that connects the left & right fork has some light pitting & can be replaced rather easily. The chrome on the front foot forward controls & pegs have some light pit marks. The rear passenger peg mounts & pegs have some light blemishes in the chrome with some light pit marks. The rear drive pulley has some light pit marks & scratching in the chrome.The rear wheel has some light pitting on the inner edges by the spokes of the wheel. Very hard to notice, unless you are looking at it closely. The pitting isn't terrible, but I want to disclose as much as possible. I would also be more than happy to email you close up photos of the affected areas. The SuperTrapp Exhaust System is in good shape with some light surface scratches from getting on & off of the bike. The front Avon tire has approximately 50% of tread remaining with some weather cracking on the tire. The rear Avon tire has approximately 50% tread remaining. The bike comes with one key. I am most likely over describing the bike, but want to make sure that I disclose as much as possible. The bike runs great and is an absolute blast to ride! You won't be disappointed! SUPERB bike! Great power, but SO smooth. Light and nimble, moderate seat height, and great ground clearance. It's comfortable and easy to ride anywhere and everywhere. Powered by KTM's RFS motor, arguably the best powerplant they've ever built, it's durable, reliable, and relatively low maintenance. I love this bike and will miss it, but it needs a new home. I bought it for $2100, it was worth $3000 easy, and I've put $1000 into it myself. Here's a factory spec list: mbike com / ktm / 400-exc-racing / 2002 and let's run down the specifics. THE GOOD -Street legal with all components and title -3117 Miles on the clock (note computer is aftermarket and I don't know when it was added. RFS motors typically good for over 20k miles) -Trail Tech Voyager computer w/GPS -Trail Tech X2 headlight (wired with high/low beam) -5-gallon fuel tank -FMF Factory 4.1 slip-on (I believe header is factory) -Electric radiator fan -Rekluse Z-Start clutch (AMAZING for trail riding) -GP Racing suspension -Shinko 244 front tire, Mefo Explorer rear (great 50/50 tires, confident and quiet on road, surprisingly capable off-road) -Tubliss 2.0 front and rear -T.M. Designworks chain guide and Enduro Engineering case saver/clutch cover -Tusk hand guards with integrated turn signals -Thumper Racing engine work (frankly, I don't know what as I have no documentation on it. I do know it runs STRONG, and maintains its smooth, easy-to-ride nature) THE BAD -Needs a $45 clutch cover gasket from Rekluse, and some elbow grease putting it back together. When the gasket started leaking, I didn't know it needed a special thicker gasket direct from Rekluse. THE UGLY -MAY need a $30 carb needle valve kit. It had a fuel leak, but I thoroughly cleaned the carb and found a rock in the fuel inlet by the gasket so problem SHOULD be solved, but I haven't ran it since. If it's still leaking, it's a $30 kit and 10 minute install. -Chain could use replacing. It has life and adjustability left, but note pictures. -Could use new air filter ($11) -Clutch lever is broken in half. $10 to replace, but I actually prefer it the way it is. I have it adjusted with a lighter throw, but it now has a longer throw to still disengage fully. -I have 1 qt of the recommended Motorex full synthetic oil, but the other quart leaked out around the improper clutch cover gasket. $17. I also have the oil filters for the oil change. And that's it! A fantastic go-anywhere, do-anything bike needing only a gasket and some elbow grease. I planned to make it into a lightweight playful adventure bike, and get a snowbike kit for it, but now I need the money more. I am selling my 1976 KZ900 in good running condition. It has 15900 miles and it runs strong. The compression is over 120psi across all 4 cylinders on this undisturbed engine. I've just rebuild the carbs with new fuel tees and fresh carb kits. It starts right up and rides up and down the road just fine. The turn signals, horn and hazard lights work fine. The bike is mostly original less the pipes and the color. The battery box was modified to hold a taller battery. The LTD style pipes are not in the best condition, if I were keeping the bike, I would look towards replacing the exhaust. the paint color is the new 2016 Ford Ruby metallic red with black and silver stripes laid out in the stock pattern. I will get it out in the sun if/when it comes out for more photos. We have an inversion layer that just sucks going on now.

The back side of the front fender has a scuff mark approximately 3/4" tall & 1/4" wide. The gas tank is in great shape, but does have two very small pin point chips where the gas tank meets the seat. The gas cap has some blemishes from being set down on the chrome a few times while being refueled. The rear fender is in great shape, but does have two spots on the rear edge of the fender that have rock chips that have been touched up with black touch up paint. One is bigger than the other. The front forward control pegs have some very light oxidation in between the rubber. The left side front rider peg has a light scuff on the bottom of the peg from dragging on a turn. The rear passenger pegs are in great shape & look like they have hardly been used. The Polished Billet on the hand controls, forward foot controls, & wheels are in great shape & have clearly been polished on a regular basis. The Vance & Hines exhaust system is in great shape, but does have one very light ding on the top side of the pipes towards the rear portion of the exhaust system. The bike was acquired from the original owner & has been taken extremely great care of. The bike has been stored in a heated garage since the day it rolled off the showroom floor. The front & rear tire have approximately 60% tread remaining with no weather cracking. I am most likely over describing the bike, but want to make sure I disclose as much as possible. The bike comes with one factory BDM key. The bike runs perfect and is an absolute blast to ride! You won't be disappointed! It does have a Clean & Clear Title. The polished billet through out the bike could use some polishing to get the bike up to looking its best. The under carriage of the frame has some scrapes from entering a driveway which I see on almost every Big Dog Motorcycle that I acquire. There are a few minor blemishes as shown in the video. The rear fender has about 3-4 chips on the edge of the fender. There are also a few light scuff marks on the edge of the rear fender. The rear fender has some blemishes under the two up seat from the suction cups on the seat. The gas tank has some scuffs on the right side as shown in the video. The plastic trim piece that bolts on around the speedometer is cracked right by the screw that attaches the piece to the tank. The front fender is in pretty decent shape with some light surface scratches. The left hand grip has some bubbling chrome. The front rider pegs are both missing the bands that go around the pegs. Sometimes when the ignition key is turned on the odometer will not power on. If you shut the ignition key off & on this resets it & the speedometer functions 100% properly. Front forks seals were just replaced. The rear tire has less than 750 miles & the front tire is about 85% worn. Bike comes with one original Big Dog key. The bike runs perfect and is an absolute blast to ride! You won't be disappointed! It does have a Clean & Clear Title.
