Pristine condition. Only 4231 miles. Kept covered in garage. Well maintained. Carbs just professionally serviced, cleaned and kissed by the best mechanic I ever met. Runs like a bear! Selling it because it was my father's who recently passed away. Not the bike for me, I'd rather have an adventure bike. Only reasonable offers entertained. Asking $3650 OBO. Beautiful GL1500SE with just over 60k miles. Custom pin-stripping. Everything works (including radio, CB, & cassette deck). New lithium battery. Current Virginia inspection. Cover included. You're bidding on a 1 owner, original, unrestored, #s matching 1975 FLH with 4.5k original miles. This is a true survivor! I purchased it from the estate of the deceased original owner. The orig. owner didn't just like his bike, he LOVED it until his death a few years ago. Mostly ridden on special occasions or events and always stored in a dry climate controlled building. Motor has never been apart and it runs superbly. No smoke, no leaks, no strange noises, transmission shifts the way it's supposed to and it rides like a dream. All of the chrome is in excellent condition with VERY little surface rust or oxidation. The fairing, and bags were painted to match the orig. color decades ago. The color is close but not a perfect match to the orig. The gas tanks were repainted for some reason also. On the very front bottom of the right gas tank, some of the repaint has flaked off and you can see the original paint which looks really nice, glossy and bright. I don't know why the tanks were repainted and I was very temped to try to remove it, (might just have minor imperfections underneath???). The only things that have been recently replaced are the oil, air filter, points, condenser, front brake master cylinder and petcock. All of the electrics work except for the amp meter, oil pressure guage and cig lighter, (probably just a loose wire) and the horn button is missing but horn still works. The radio works but I don't have any 8 track tapes laying around to see if the tape deck still works. Also comes with matching tour pack with more fancy lights. This is a turn key, classic antique motorcycle that can be ridden daily the way it sits. It attracts an enormous amount of attention anywhere it goes and I'm sure you'll even snag a few trophies if that's your bag. 97 Heritage Softail. This is an excellent running, reliable and good looking bike. The top end was done approx. 1k mi. ago but I have no documentation to prove it. Runs excellent with no weirdness and everything works as it should. It has some cosmetic issues, dent in front fender, misc. small scratches, light nut and bolt surface rust, tires have good tread but some dry rot on side walls, plastic marker light on rear fender is broken, plastic back rest release button trim is broken and the digital odometer display comes on when it wants to. With all that being said, it's just a good solid bike that you can ride the way it is or get a little creative and customize it to your satisfaction.
