If you want a bike that can do any type of riding, this is it. I am 59 years old and bought it new. This bike has been trail ridden and maybe 6 times at local practice tracks, never raced or crashed. I over maintain my bikes and the oil comes out still clean when I change it. I had the $1200 suspension job done by ESR and it is plush on the small chop and firms up nicely on the bigger stuff. It is set up for a wide range of rider weights and would work for anyone from 150 to 200lbs, From novice to expert. When I got the bike new I had the dealership install the KTM/FMF Ti complete system on it for an extra $900 and it works and sounds awesome. This bike is a work of ART. Somebody is going to save thousands and get a one of a kind bike, the only Factory Edition 250 that looks like the F.E. 450'S. This bike is a 2015.5 Factory Edition so it is the newest lite weight chassis and motor changes and you don't need to rev it to get the power you want, 44+ hp, thats what my 1998 yzf 400 put out and it weighed 30lb more, and it did'nt handle half as good. This is the newest design with all the upgrades from the factory. Engine,frame,swingarm,air-box,pegs,gearbox and bodywork. With a unbelievable weight of only 224lb. This bike handles like a 250 with the power of most 450's. I am 59 years old and I have not raced or even came close to the rev-limiter. I over maintain this bike and it gets cleaned after every ride and has been taken apart and greased twice in a year. The suspension has been done by Adam Kreft of Kreft Moto, specalizing in KTM suspension and is the best KTM suspension tuner I know of. It's set up for a slow 200lb practice rider to a 170lb racer. I installed frame guards and swing arm guards to give it a slightly different look. I also added a FMF slip-on muffler and the tires are close to new, 1.5 hours on the rear one. Excellent condition 2013 1/2 KTM 450 SXF. 27.8 hours by senior 57 year old slow rider. This bike is truly next-to-new. Never raced, never beat, never wrecked, never even scratched. Serviced-maintained to the max. Always clean oil, air filter, and clean bike. Stored in heated garage. You would be hard pressed to find a cleaner more maintained used dirt-bike anywhere. Over $12,000 invested and a steal at $6,500! This bike has upgraded grips, exhaust, and the best of all, on an already superb bike. Brand new top end just installed, Flexx bars, lowering link, wider and lower foot pegs. The suspension was done by Adam Kreft of Kreft Moto, specializing in KTM suspension work. You can't ride on a better suspension without getting a factory works suspension. I've ridden bikes with Pro-Circuit, Works Connection, Pro-Action, and Race Tech, and none of these come close to this Kreft Moto suspension. BAR NONE. Set up for a 200lb. slow guy to a 165lb. pro. Very plush on small bumps and stiff enough not to bottom on Big Hits. The suspension is the most important mod a person can do to their bike, and this suspension is absolutely perfect. I've never come close to hitting the rev limiter. I've never used the hole shot device, and I've never missed an oil change (every 3 hours or less).
