The bike is ridden often and runs very well. As you can see from the pictures it has a electronic ignition (mech advance) which was installed by me. This has to be one of the original aftermarket ignitions offered and still runs perfect. The neck bearings are still the original ball type and were cleaned inspected and reinstalled
2006 z1000 with a little over 42k miles. - Corbin seat - muzzy exhaust - power commander III - newer tires - fresh oil change - fresh coolant - newer sprockets and chain - K&N air filter - newer performance spark plugs. I believe I am the 3rd owner. I have had this bike for 3 years or so. The previous owner laid it down, and it was re-painted. The paint on the tank is peeling in one spot, but the bike still looks great. I get compliments on it every time I ride, but I do not ride it enough to keep it. I have the Salvage Title in hand. Registration in my name is current. I will throw in a cover, and a size medium BILT helmet.

1973 Kawasaki Z1 900, This is the holy grail of the very first Japanese superbikes. I bought this from original owner in 1977 and its been stored inside the entire time. It starts right up and runs great! no smoke and never been low on oil or overheated or even redlined.. This motor has never been disassembled or altered. Still has original coils and even spark plug wires. Also has original points system with condenser - its not been redone with electronic system. Carburetors have been rebuilt. Its got some missing paint and light corrosion on frame from battery acid damage which has not been repainted. The thin A frame metal where the horn mounts is cracked on both sides from big potholes/bad roads etc. It tracks and corners great and I assumed this damage to be cosmetic. Left turn signal chromed bracket is slightly bent from a controlled fall in garage. This bike is HEAVY and I am only 160 lbs New steering head bearings about 500 miles ago- also new chain and sprocket then. I've not been a freeway rider. I've been about 3,700 miles since 1977 on twisty back roads in bad shape:( I have a correct used 73 front fender from a same year bike on it now. The original factory tank, side covers and tailpiece has just been repainted in urethane in correct colors and metal flake. Its like glass! Everything original except paint, seat cover, and pipes which are new ($1250) from Z1Parts. A very early 72 just sold for 20k on EBay on Nov 1 which was all original with lots of rust and salt damage to engine paint, bolts nuts screws etc That one has 37k miles on it and not running since 1989. 1973 Kawasaki Z1 900, I bought this beauty from the original owner in 1977 and its been kept inside the entire time. The correct front fender is on its way (OEM) from same year bike. This is all original except the new paint in correct colors, seat cover (on original seat frame) and the pipes which are flawless with no heat coloring or damage. Also includes original owners manual, chain oiler, ignition system with points/condenser. Also original coils, spark plug wires, and shocks. An OEM front fender is on the way from a 73 same year bike. This fender shown here is from a later model. Starts right up and does not smoke or burn oil at all! Always had regular oil changes and I've never red lined it. Owners manual specs say it does 134MPH with a 12 second quarter mile. This is the holy grail of the Z series. 1973 Kawasaki Z1 900, Second owner since 1977 hates to sell this! Had it inside the entire time and babied it. This is a survivor bike- not a pieced together replica from new parts. Never been taken apart and even has original coils, shocks, tank, wheels, on and on. Carbs rebuilt about 300 miles ago and it starts right up and doesn't smoke. Never overheated or redlined.
