Rare 2000 Kawasaki W650. Looks of an old Triumph but the reliability of a Japanese bike. Runs great-recent tune-up. Minor wear and tear of 17 year old bike but never dropped. This W650 is in pristine condition, perfect in every way. 1350 original miles. Could go in museum, it's that nice. If you are looking at this ad, you know all about the W650's, limited quantifies shipped into US. in 2000 and 2001. Etc. Etc. Bike is completely factory original and stock, with a few exceptions. I installed Kawasaki Factory low handle bars and cables. These bars are the low bars that ALL Kawasaki W650's come with around the world, except for US models. The low bars look much more retro, and the riding position is so much nicer. Stock Kawasaki part numbers. Original US bars and cables will come with bike. I removed the stock original big ugly turn signals. Original turn signals will come with bike. This bike was kept in climate controlled environment since new, therefore, spokes are perfect, ( no corrosion ) side cases, perfect, rims, perfect. The carbs, have been re-Jetted, ( i.e. richened ) to prevent pipes from bluing, and discoloring. All, W650's came from the factory jetted lean, to pass US emissions. Lean jetting, causes heat, and causes the pipes to discolor. By re-jetting, the bike runs so much better, and no heat and discoloring problems. There is not a scratch, a mark or a defect of any kind on the motorcycle. Please notice the break in decal on the tachometer, the factory tire and load date information decal on the right side of swingarm, also the factory important drive chain decal on the chainguard. These original decals help document the originality and authenticity of this beautiful W650. OK, why am I selling, had three W's , sold one last fall, and was gong to keep two. Now, I've decided to sell this one, and keep just one W. The one I'm keeping I bought new, and has less than a 1,000 miles on it. I presently own 14 motorcycle, I'm 70 years old, and time to sell some. I have included a couple extra pictures, however just the 2001 W is for sale. If you want a perfect, cherry, mint, AS NEW, pristine W650 this is it. I will deliver for free ( east of Mississippi) with buy now price. Kawasaki W650 2001 Resembling a Triumph Bonneville from the 60s, this Kawasaki gets a lot of attention. Reliable, smooth and beautiful, this particular bike has been upgraded with a SuperBrace and progressive fork springs on the front, a luggage rack and hard Givi luggage. Maintenance is by Jonas Fleck at Independent Motorcycle Repair in Philomath Oregon; last season it received new sprockets and chain, new brake pads and new tires. Stored under cover the bike has about 17,500 miles.
