For sale is the bike I started riding on, a 1996 Kawasaki Ninja 250. The bike has some cosmetic damage but is mechanically sound and I have been riding it for awhile in it's present condition. This would be a great option for a beginner rider as it needs nothing and runs no issues and is a blast to ride. Title is clean in hand and the bike currently has almost 11k miles. Clutch cable was just replaced and new flush mount blinkers and bar end mirrrors are included aswell as the stock mirrors. Recent update to this post. I downed the bike gently on some ice and bent the right handlebar a little and broke a mirror off. I have clip ons I've been meaning to install anyway so I'll do that soon. Otherwise I'll sell with it how it is for pretty cheap. Looking to sell my 1999 Ninja 250. Bike has around 6k miles and is amazing condition, has many upgrades making it very custom but still an amazing beginner/commuting/just super fun little bike. Basically removed the front and rear fairing as well as parts of the sides to give it a sleek cafe racer look. Had a recent tuneup including carb rebuild and resync done by Bikeworx in Hudson. Some upgrades are - Trail Tech Vapor and dashboard speedo/instruments - multi color/setting underglow - aftermarket tail light with integrated blinkers - strip blinkers on rear as well to keep it street legal - 7" headlight and blinkers - mirrors with built in blinkers on both sides - phone charger - Yoshimura slip on exhaust - probably some stuff i can't remember right now With all the upgrades and changes to the bike it's about 300 lbs WET. I am selling my 2009 Ninja 250R after owning it for nearly 4 years. I purchased this bike used in 2013 in perfect condition. It has 27977 km on it (17384 miles) and the speedometer is in KM.As far as the mechanical performance of this bike, it is amazing. I have done regular maintenance on the bike, although it might need a tune up soon (engine could use a proper cleaning), it has a fairly new chain, recent oil change, stored in heated underground garage. This bike always starts up easily, obviously better in a heated garage, but gets going easily with the choke in the cold. I have always used premium gasoline with this bike to keep the engine as clean as possible. I have never had any issue with the mechanics of this bike, and am amazed at how well it performs even after years of owning it. It also has a 15 tooth sprocket for better performance at higher speeds (could change it back for more lower end torque).The bike has been dropped (not by me) a couple times, although has been almost completely repaired (just some minor asthetics). It has been in one accident where it went in a ditch, but I replaced almost all of the front end including forks, the triple tree clamp top fork, and some fairing damage. These occured around 3 years ago and since being repaired has been taken care of very well.The remaining asthetic faults on the bike are:Some scratches on the front fairing across the headlights, left turn signal was pushed in but is held in its normal position by electric tape which blends nicely with the color of the left fairing so hard to tell unless up close, and some minor metal bends on my fender eliminator kit. I will include photos of all faults.I could replace the fairing parts to make the bike perfect again, but I am purchasing a 600 so am just trying to put this bike's worth towards the downpayment. This has been my first bike, and I am absolutely amazed at the quality Kawasaki produces. It is incredibly fun as a commuter bike but it's time for me to move on to something a little bigger. Trust me, I'm not BSing in saying if you buy this bike, more likely as a cheap beginner bike, you will have a ton of fun zipping around on this little rocket.I am open to trades and price negotiation.Thanks!Brett
