Great bike, I'm Pretty sure I'm the third owner. Previous owners were a bit rough on it, I've since fixed it up into a real decent bike that I ride nearly every day, weather permitting. Lots of fun, GREAT MPG, I've replaced some things like the battery, speedo, clutch cable, Put on integrated turn signal mirrors, Modified the tail section, Painted, Cleaned the carbs and engine, changed oil, etc. New front Wheel. Fully ready for its next beginner rider! I've taught a couple people how to ride with this. Love this bike, time to upgrade. Contact anytime for a test ride!Trades considered.
Up for sale is my Ninjette, a 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 250 with just under 10,000 miles. The miles will slowly increase - I'll probably ride it a few times more before I sell it. 2007 was the last year of the "pregen" body style, so many of the kinks were worked out. It starts, runs, and rides very well. Its liquid-cooled engine has no fuel, coolant, or oil leaks. It's been very well taken care of. Summer service has been performed very recently - it's ready to go for the season. Pirelli Sport Demon tires are in great shape and provide tons of grip. The seat is brand new - the cover was cracked so I replaced it brand new black marine-grade Naugahyde.Don't let the engine size fool you - this isn't your dad's 250. It will surprise you. It's a high-revving, spunky engine on a very light, nimble bike. It is the perfect beginner bike. Even if you're not a beginner (I am not), you'll enjoy this bike's spectacular handling and quick reaction to input. I've taken it to the MSF Advanced RiderCourse, and it literally runs circles around those guys who think they're all that on their massive cruisers that can't turn. The Ninja 250 quickly earns respect when you leave people in the dust in a sweeping turn. :) It's without a doubt one of the best-handling bikes on the market. The riding position for this bike is surprisingly friendly for riders of most sizes - it's very upright for a sport bike. I'm a pretty big dude, and I can ride it long distances relatively comfortably. It even rides very well with two riders. And it's amazing to get better mileage than a Prius, having WAY more fun doing so. I can easily get over 60 miles per gallon on the highway with the tall sixth gear. Also it's super cheap to insure. There's nothing mechanically wrong with it. There's a few minor scrapes (the previous owner dropped it at <5 mph and it barely shows). Over on the other side, there's a crack in the lower fairing because I was an idiot and missed a screw when I was removing it a year or two back. Those issues are purely cosmetic and really only visible if you're looking for them. No dents or scratches on the gas tank. All imperfections are barely noticeable - and they're all shown in the pictures. This is a fantastic looking bike.If you're looking to get into riding, or just want a great-handling, fuel-efficient, fun and sporty bike, this Ninja is for you. Title is in my name and in-hand, clear with no liens. I'm looking for $2100 or best offer.
Here's what I have to offer:1998 red ninja ex250f withNew batteryNew spark plugsNew inspectionNew tiresNew rear brakesNew oilNew filter (plus an extra filter)Newly done valvesNewly done carbsNewly done petcockPurged and checked the coolant systemThe fairings were broken in several places, I repaired most of the cracks with plastifix but haven't gotten around to sanding and painting them.I will be riding it until I sell it, so mileage will go up a bit. I bought the bike as a project bike, hadn't been used in a few years hence the valve, coolant, oil, and carb work. It's a great beginner bike, but has a lot to offer for more experienced riders. This is my second bike, (started on a rebel) and it's handled really well for me.The reason I am selling it is I will be leaving State College and can't take it with me. Otherwise, I would keep it. I won't ship it, and can't transport it, so you'll have to come get it. It fits in the bed of a pickup (that's how I got it here) or of course you can ride it home.I reserve the right to take down the post at any time. Email me with questions and for more pictures. Cash only. $1500 OBO
