This 2001 Kawasaki KZ1000 Police Bike is in ready to ride condition. As a trade in here at the shop we addressed some of the smallest details to enhance the buyers satisfaction. All the instrument lighting was restored. A set of loud horns were mounted too.The neutral light "switch plate " attached to the shift drum hidden behind the chain case was replaced including the cover gaskets and seals. This was why the neutral light wasn't working. Now the motorcycle does not drip oil on the floor. Up front the special fairing trim begged for additional lights. All lights are individually controlled via standard switch gear. The Pursuit function now works and brings the whole lighting cluster to life when turned on. Amber fog lights look great. The LED Amber running lights pierce the dark. The blinkers are now secure as we made an aluminum plate under the fairing nose to reinforce the fiberglass where the blinkers mount. The rear tail lights work as flashers and blinkers. we added additional LED brake lights too. These will blind you when looking directly at them. They're sure to get a tailgating drivers attention. A travel trunk was added to the bike as we had the perfect donor . It's a BMW piece of luggage that expands and contracts as you flip a lever . The engine valve cover gasket was replaced as well as the 4 end cap rubbers . Brake fluids, engine oil and filter have been changed too. Recent on hand service records reveal the prior owner spent $ 1162 in Sept 2014 at another local shop.The records show that the gas tank was drained , the Carbs were cleaned and properly synced , the spark plugs were replaced as well. New 12" over Handle bars with coresponding lengthened cables , wiring and hoses were installed too.The owner had new tires mounted the Dunlop D 404 tires are fresh and barely worn. The chain and sprockets are in excellent condition and well lubed.Brake pads have better than 50% remaining material. No leaking fork seals.This bike starts well , idles perfectly, the battery is strong. The ride quality is comfortable and stable, all the controls and functions work correctly.
