The rugged, proven 651cc motor is the basis for the KLR650's all around great performance. The single-cylinder four-stroke engine provides great throttle response and a punchy low-end grunt that is perfect for riding tight trails or negotiating urban traffic. But she is equally impressive at highway speeds and makes long distance travel easy and comfortable. The KLR's suspension is a great match for this engine and chassis. The 41mm fork with 7.9 inches of suspension travel up front and UNI-TRAK® linkage system with 7.3 inches of wheel travel in the rear combine to make the KLR650 a fun, functional commuter during the week and an adept back road blaster on weekends. A large 6.1-gallon fuel tank and outstanding fuel economy mean the KLR650 can cover a lot of ground between fill-ups. The frame-mounted bodywork, which includes a tall windscreen and large shrouds gives great protection from the elements and a high-capacity 36W alternator pumps out enough juice for a high-output headlight and she is wired for any electric gear you may have. 2009 Kawasaki Klr 650, 2009 KLR 650w/ clean title, 19,300 miles on body. Motor has been swapped from a KLR650-A with only 12k miles. Bike runs great, plastics are great shape with no major flaws. Not a lot of off-road time, rims are unscratched, fenders in good shape, no brush marks in paint. Lots of upgrades make this a dependable and very comfortable daily rider. Tires have plenty of tread left, new spark plug, coolant system just flushed, oil changed, no maintenance needed.
