Having recently been serviced, this is truly a piece of history one can find pride and joy in immediately. This is ZX550A1 from 1981 - the first year of the ZX series of cycles which later became the Ninja we have today. Featured on this bike are the original dent-free tank and matching plastics with a lustrous original paint job and original decals. The seat is also the original to this cycle, with no rips, tears, or damage. The exhaust system has been replaced with a four-into-one Kerker system with correct carburetor jetting - this results in a pleasant thrumming engine note without being obnoxiously loud or vibey. The airbox is in the original configuration for this model. The original mag rims and engine covers have been polished to a shine and are quite eye-catching. All of the lights, signals, and electric starter are original to this cycle and function reliably. The brakes received a complete flush so the bike stops as reliably as it goes. The original chin fairing is included - it would need to be modified to fit with the Kerker exhaust. It should go without saying that this cycle runs, rides, and shifts very smoothly through all of the gears, and has fresh tires, a new battery, and an oil change.
