The changes for the 2004 Chief power train, which retained the 100-cubic-inch engine, included a redesigned crankshaft, a new camshaft with matching valve springs, vacuum-advance ignition, new cylinder-head castings with 9.0:1 compression, one-piece rockers, internal-bypass lubrication, and a new exhaust system, that reduced emissions and accommodated a catalyst for California models. These were claimed to provide a 7 percent horsepower increase and 14 percent more torque. The Chiefs' 170 changes also included Brembo master cylinders, the prettier hand and foot controls, new floorboards Gorgeous Indian Chief built by Indian Dealer in Gilroy, titled 2004, with several upgrades including 6 speed transmission, tach, Arrow shift linkage Chrome Primary etc. We purchased the bike from someon in Texas last November with only, it has original 1,500 miles. 2014 Indian Chief , We are just finishing installing a brand new Trike-Conversion kit on this bike; and we also installed brand-new spoke rims with whitewall tires (the blue is still present!). All of the chrome is in good condition! This bike only has 500 miles and was recently purchased from a dealer, so it's pretty much brand new. If you can come and see her in person, I recommend doing so! She is beautiful. The upper and lower arms are made of aluminum alloy. The bearing holders are billet ones. The side plates are 3/8 thick steel laser cut with the shock towers for accuracy with holes and a rear brake pocket that keeps the 4 piston brake vertical for easy maintenance with a wavy rotor. Adjustable air shocks make for a smooth ride. The unit come with an anti-sway bar and stainless steel bolts. This unit is simply one of the best independent suspension system offered. $26,850.00
