1940 Indian Four, This fully restored 1940 Indian Four is a beautiful, fully functional classic motorcycle. It starts easily, usually with the first ignition kick, warms up quickly and is soon ready to ride. I love the way the bike handles and how it sits. It has a great sound with lots of low end power. Shifting and clutching are distinct and easy. The shift handle is on the right hand side, with first pulled back towards the rider, then shift through neutral to second and then forward into third. Shifting is effortless and fun. The clutch has a split pedal, with the ability to lock down the clutch with the inside clutch pedal if needed. I wouldn’t hesitate to go start the bike right now and take it on a 50 mile ride. I expect the value of this nearly 75 year old bike to rapidly appreciate in value.
