This is a brand new 2009 Indian Chief Show Bike. This particular Indian is black with silver tank script, red seat and red saddle bags. Comes with 2 keys, factory manual, documentation and factory bike cover. When the Indian Motorcycle Company started producing motorcycles again in 2009 in Kings Mountain, NC, they produced a few "Show" bikes in preparation for their National Tour. This motorcycle is the 5th bike produced as documented in the VIN# and used officially on the national tour. With the launch of a brand new motorcycle you can only imagine the care and effort that went into producing these National show bikes. Of course, the Indian Motorcycle Company produced only a few hundred motorcycles prior to being sold to Polaris Industries in 2011 and shutting down the original facility in Kings Mountain. Don't confuse this Indian with a Polaris produced new model Indian with left over Victory motorcycle parts. They are not comparable and the reason why this bike new cost approximately twice what a currently priced 2014 Polaris produced Indian sells for. This is a hand made motorcycle not mass produced. You would be hard pressed to find a more rare and collectible motorcycle with these miles and in this condition - not to mention NEW ! The bike is titled but never registered and mileage is nominal. Viewing is at Lido Beach, Long Island NY weekends only. ( 50 minutes outside Manhattan). Shipping/transport is responsibility of buyer but I will assist in any way possible. Please no time wasters.
