2017 Husqvarna TE 250, Now In Stock! 2017 Husqvarna® TE 250 ENDURO REDEFINED The TE 250 takes the simple, low-maintenance motor concept that is a proven favourite of enduro riders, and progresses it with modern technological advancements. The combination of class-leading power and modern lightweight construction just got massively better for 2017. A new shaft arrangement improves mass centralisation, along with a counter-balancer shaft to reduce vibration. A new 38mm flat-slide MIKUNI TMX carburator is more resistant to altitude and temperature changes, requiring less-frequent adjustment than previous carbs. The new electric starter unit is located within the engine casings, keeping it secure from impacts. It is now linked to a lightweight and powerful Li- Ion battery for reliable starting when you need it most. Features may include: Engine Featuring the very latest in 2-stroke technology, the TE 250 engine has a completely new construction featuring new shaft arrangements for better mass centralisation, a new counter balancer shaft reducing vibration, a new twin-valve controlled power valve and re-worked 6-speed enduro gearbox. Cylinder The 66.4mm bore cylinder features a newly developed power valve system which delivers smooth and controlled power throughout the RPM range. This can be further customised by simply changing between three springs supplied and altering the power delivery for different conditions and rider preference. Counter-balancer The new engine design allows for the implementation of a laterally mounted counter balancer. The balancer is integrated in a very compact way and significantly reduces vibrations resulting in a smoother and more comfortable ride. Crankcase The lightweight, die-cast engine casings are developed to accommodate new shaft arrangements. The clutch shaft is now 8mm higher while the crankshaft position is 27mm higher centralising oscillating mass and improving ride-ability. Functional bodywork Distinctive and futuristic bodywork highlight the impressive leap forward for MY17, while striking pearl blue and electric yellow colours and graphics stylishly adorn the Swedish inspired design. With completely new ergonomics, rider control and comfort are improved allowing the rider to perform at the peak for longer periods of time. Lightning fast manoeuvrability, class-leading brakes, a precise gearbox and a smooth hydraulic clutch provide the tools to conquer any terrain in any condition. Features May Include: ENGINE The TE 125 s high performance 125cc 2-stroke engine features a sophisticated power valve that optimises power delivery across the entire rev range. Boyesen reeds guarantee excellent response, durability and intake flow rates. For MY15 a smoother power delivery has been achieved thanks to a revised carburettor setting. CYLINDER The high performance cylinder and power valve are designed to deliver strong bottom-end torque and high peak power at maximum throttle opening. The Vertex piston s material and piston rings have been designed for power and reliability. CLUTCH Excellent clutch modulation, low maintenance and consistent behaviour are guaranteed by the hydraulic Magura clutch. The clutch lever reduces the risk of breakage by rotating almost 90° in the event of a crash. TRANSMISSION The ratios of the lightweight 6-speed gearbox have been optimised for Enduro use. The precise shifting action allows riders to accurately maintain the TE 125 in the ideal power range of the engine. FRAME The engineers designed the frame with precise longitudinal flex that helps absorb impacts from the rear wheel, working together with the suspension and giving the rider greater feedback. The torsional rigidity has been calibrated to maximise sharp handling, and thus magnifying the intrinsic characteristics of two-stroke motorcycles. SUBFRAME The lightweight, three-piece polyamide rear subframe has been reinforced with an additional screw on the airbox side that improves the fitment between the left subframe arm and the airbox. The improved seal guarantees better performance and durability. The polyamide subframe is more flexible than a traditional aluminium rear subframe. SWINGARM Putting 2-stroke power to the ground can be tricky in certain conditions, so the engineers developed a single-piece cast swingarm that optmises traction even on the most difficult Enduro terrain.
