2017 Husqvarna TC 250, 2017 Husqvarna® TC 250 HIGH INTENSITY THRILLS Completely new for MY 17, the TC 250 portrays the constant development and secure future of the historic 250cc 2-stroke in the Husqvarna line-up. With a newly designed chassis, the TC 250 sees a significant reduction in weight with increased agility and rider comfort. Additionally, the lightweight 2-stroke engine is completely redesigned and features increased efficiency, more centralised masses as well as a substantial reduction in vibration. Features may include: New engine The 250cc 2-stroke engine is the ultimate combination of unsurpassed power and lightweight construction. The simplicity and low maintenance cost of the 2-stroke motor makes it a favourite amongst motocross riders. The new TC 250 engine has a completely new construction featuring a new shaft arrangements for better mass centralisation, a new counter balancer shaft reducing vibration, a new twin-valve controlled power valve and re-worked 5-speed gearbox. New cylinder The 66.4mm bore cylinder features a newly developed power valve system which delivers smooth and controlled power throughout the RPM range. This can be further customised by simply changing two springs supplied and altering the power delivery for different track conditions or rider preference. The new cylinder and cylinder head incorporate a new water jacket design which guarantees better heat dissipation and improved cooling under the most extreme conditions. New cylinder head mountings secure the engine to the frame while also reducing vibrations for a smooth ride. New crankcases In an effort to centralize mass, the lightweight die-cast engine casings are developed to accommodate new shaft arrangements. The clutch shaft is now 4mm higher while the crankshaft position is also raised 19.5mm centralising oscillating mass and improving ride-ability. Additionally the new counter balancer shaft has been integrated in a very compact manner without compromising the overall design while new engine covers offer better resistance from wear created by riders boots. New counter balancer shaft The new engine design incorporates a laterally mounted counter balancer shaft. This shaft significantly reduces vibrations resulting in a smoother, more comfortable ride. New frame With years of experience in designing the most advanced steel frames in offroad, the engineers in Research and Development designed a chromium molybdenum steel frame that redefines every structural aspect that benefits handling, ergonomics and packaging. 2016 Husqvarna TC 250, 2016 Husqvarna® TC 250 HIGH INTENSITY THRILLS Detail changes to the MY16 TC 250 are aimed at refining the riding experience thanks to a new CNC machined triple clamp with rubber damping and a new seat cover that greatly improves grip and durability. Stronger braking performance is guaranteed by new disc brakes and the 100 g lighter spokes reduce unsprung weight for improved agility. The standard handlebar map switch, polyamide rear subframe, hydraulic clutch and Brembo brakes make the TC 250 a formidable competitor to the more complex 4-strokes. Features May Include: IGNITION The ignition can be modified according to track layout and rider preference. The CDI unit features two ignition curves that can be switched via the handlebar-mounted Husqvarna accessories map select switch fitted as standard. ENGINE The powerful 250 cc 2-stroke engine features an exhaust power valve to boost power and torque along the entire rev range. A precise 5-speed gearbox and smooth hydraulic clutch ensure accurate gear changes and perfect clutch modulation with almost no maintenance. CYLINDER The cylinder head has been designed for throttle response and torque and is perfectly mated to the power valve for optimal power delivery in every circumstance. FRAME The engineers in Research and Development had clear objectives in terms of torsional rigidity, longitudinal stiffness and weight. The goal was to give the rider optimal feedback and complete confidence in every situation. This was achieved by designing the lightweight chromium molybdenum frame with precise longitudinal flex that helps absorb impacts from the rear wheel, working together with the suspension for better comfort and greater feedback. The torsional rigidity enhances turn-in, sharp handling and stability even on the roughest terrain, giving the rider complete confidence in finding his lines and increasing his pace lap after lap. SUBFRAME The three-piece composite subframe, made of high strength polyamide with a precision injection moulded production process, has been designed to offer stiffness while flexing more than an aluminium subframe, complementing the flex characteristics of the frame in order to offer optimum rider feedback and feeling in all conditions. The lightweight design offers engineers unlimited opportunities in integrating features such as all the electronics and the airbox. SWINGARM The single component construction of the aluminium swingarm eliminates welding, providing more reliability, stability and safety, as well as superior quality and consistent behaviour over time compared to other construction processes. 4CS FORK WP 4CS fork is developed specifically for Motocross. Features may include: Frame The high strength chromoly steel frame is produced by WP Performance Systems and integrates carefully calculated parameters of longitudinal flex and torsional rigidity to benefit handling and suspension functionality. It guarantees easy handling and precise cornering, along with outstanding stability. WP AER 35 Featuring the latest in suspension technology, the TC 50 is fitted with a revolutionary WP AER 35 fork.
