Compression can be adjusted from the left side and rebound on the right via clickers situated on the top of the fork tube. Additionally, with the standard pre-load adjuster, pre-load can be adjusted by the rider without the use of tools making the new system simple and easy to set up. WP rear shock The WP DCC rear shock is designed to provide advanced damping characteristics while keeping to a compact and lightweight design. The new rear shock weighs only 3.7 kg which is 0.36 kg lighter than the previous version. With a pressure balance inside the shock, damping is improved resulting in greater rider comfort and handling while the outer contour of the reservoir increases cooling. The component is also fully adjustable and matched to a linkage system with a specific geometry to deliver the best possible traction and absorption. Brembo brakes Class-leading Brembo callipers and controls with high quality GSK discs deliver superior stopping power instilling confidence in all situations. For MY17, the rear brake calliper uses a smaller piston diameter 24mm instead of 26mm, coupled with a 10mm longer rear brake lever the system delivers improved modulation and feeling. ODI lock on grips The ODI lock-on grip on the left side does not require gluing, while on the right, the vulcanised grip features an integrated throttle mechanism. The assembly has easy free-play adjustment and, by changing a cam, throttle progression can be altered. Engine The new 250cc engine is re-designed to be more powerful, lighter and more compact. All major components and shaft arrangements are carefully positioned to best suit the performance and handling characteristics of the overall package. As a result, the engine is 20mm shorter and 0.7 kg lighter than before weighing in at a total of 27.6 kg inclu
2017 Husqvarna FC 350, 2017 Husqvarna® FC 350 POWER AND CONTROL The FC 350 shares much of its engine and chassis architecture with the smaller FC 250 but with a maximum output of 58 hp, the FC 350 has a 450 rivalling power-to-weight ratio while keeping the light, agile handling of the 250. This is coupled with an advanced electronics package featuring launch control, switchable engine maps and traction control resulting in a versatile, high performance package. Features may include: Engine The 350 cc DOHC engine weighs in at only 27.2 kg with a maximum power output of 58 hp. The engine is specifically designed with performance, weight and mass centralisation as key areas. As a result, all shaft arrangements have been positioned to allow oscillating masses to occupy the ideal centre of gravity while all parts are engineered to offer the best performance while adding the least possible weight. Cylinder head The FC 350 features a DOHC design with polished camshafts and DLC coated finger followers. These components significantly reduce friction and improve overall performance. Added to the design are large titanium valves (36.3 mm intake and 29.1 mm exhaust) which allow the engine to rev freely to the 13,400 rpm ceiling. Cylinder and piston The 88mm bore cylinder features a large diameter and lightweight forged bridged-box-type piston produced by CP. As a result, the relatively low oscillating masses deliver exceptional power, high revs and a very wide power band. The compression ratio is 14:1. Crankshaft A perfectly balanced crankshaft is at the heart of the high output, high-reving, FC 350 engine. A plain big end bearing comprising of two force-fitted bearing shells ensure maximum reliability and durability, guaranteeing long service intervals of 100 hours. New map switch The FC 350 features a new handlebar map switch. Optimised for easy operation, the new map switch now selects between two engine maps, operates launch control and activates a new traction control feature. Traction control works by analysing throttle input from the rider and the rate at which the RPM increases. If the RPM increases too quickly, the EMS will register a loss of grip and reduce the amount of power to the rear wheel ensuring maximum traction. Engine management system The Keihin EMS is specifically designed to be smaller, lighter and faster at processing data. It integrates launch control for perfect starts, selectable engine maps as well as traction control. Additionally, via a gear sensor, the EMS selects a power delivery tailored for each gear. 44 mm throttle body The FC 350 features a 44 mm Keihin throttle body. The injector has been positioned to ensure the most efficient flow of fuel into the combustion chamber while, in an effort to ensure optimal throttle response, the throttle cable is mounted directly without a throttle l
