2016 Husqvarna FE 250, 2016 Husqvarna® FE 250 LIGHTWEIGHT AGILITY AND SHARP HANDLING The highly-tuned double overhead cam engine in the FE 250 is lightweight, compact and powerful, and with service intervals of up to 135 hours, it is also a champion of reliability. The agile chassis, featuring a high-tech WP 4CS fork and a versatile rear linkage suspension system, matched with premium standard equipment such as electric start and hydraulic clutch, make the FE 250 a top contender in the small displacement enduro category. Features May Include: ENGINE Closely related to the motocross engine, the FE 250 s performance is tuned for enduro use, which means stronger mid-range power and torque via the use of specific cams, and a peak power output of 37hp. The compact engine also features a DDS clutch for more tractable power, ideal on typically rough enduro terrain. The FE 250 s advanced DOHC cylinder head features DLC coated followers and flow optimised ports, and large 32.5mm intake valves that weigh only 19.6g each, while the 26.5mm exhaust valves weigh 18g. NEW LUBRICATION SYSTEM The lubrication system on the FE 250 has been modified to prevent damage from bad maintenance operations such as over-filling the system with oil. The modification has the added advantage of improving lubrication in extreme terrain, such as on steep uphill or downhill trails. CYLINDER AND PISTON The large 78mm bore cylinder features a König forged bridged-box-type piston (that weighs only 200g) and a short stroke to enhance revving and house large valves for better fuel flow. The compression ratio is 12.8:1. CRANKCASE The crankcases are produced using pressure die casting for thinner wall thicknesses and a higher quality surface finish than other casting methods. The bronze coating and Husqvarna logo on the side covers add to the stylish look. CHROMOLY STEEL FRAME High-strength steel of the highest quality is laser cut and robot welded to exacting standards by WP Performance Systems, according to precise torsional rigidity, longitudinal flex and weight defined by our R&D department. Finely-tuned torsional rigidity provides sharp handling and stability, while calculated longitudinal flex helps absorb impacts from the terrain, working together with the suspension for better comfort and greater feedback. The lightweight design allows riders to confidently pick faster lines while maintaining race-winning pace over extended periods of time. POLYAMIDE REAR SUBFRAME The lightweight, three-piece polyamide rear subframe is more flexible than a traditional aluminium rear subframe. Combined with the longitudinal flex of the frame and the rear linkage system, this gives riders a more comfortable and confidence-inspiring feeling on the bike, allowing them to push the limits in every condition and on any terrain. The design of the composite subframe feat
