2015 Husqvarna FC 450, Very Low Hours! Excellent Condition! 2015 Husqvarna® SHOCK WAVE OF POWER Strong, yet usable engine performance catapults the FC 450 into contention at the top of the 450 class. The FC 450 has astonishing force from the SOHC engine, incredible handling from the lightweight, cutting-edge chassis, and embodies the core values of Husqvarna. The standard electric start and handlebar-mounted map switch make the FC 450 one of the most advanced Motocross bikes on the market. Features May Include: ENGINE The compact SOHC design delivers exceptional power and torque over an extremely wide rev range. The accessible, class-leading performance of the FC 450 engine allows riders to confidently rocket of the corners, power down the straights and clear any jump. The single overhead cam in the cylinder head actuates four lightweight titanium valves, only 32 grams each, via lightweight and rigid rocker arms (DLC coated on the intake). The diameter of the intake valves is 38mm, while on the exhaust side it is 33mm. The broad power band of the FC 450 stretches to 11,500 rpm, peaking at 60 hp while maintaining exceptional torque low in the rev range. ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM The electronic fuel injection and 44mm throttle body of the Keihin Engine Management System on the 4-stroke models, combine to offer amazing power delivery and efficiency at all engine speeds. The injector was positioned on the bottom of the inlet tract for optimal air-fuel mixture, resulting in crisp throttle response and class-leading power. CRANKSHAFT, CONROD AND PISTON The FC 450 features an industry-leading Pankl produced crankshaft and conrod in order to ensure that the high power output and torque of the 450cc engine are combined with durability and long service intervals (100 hours before changing con rod, con rod bearing and crank pin). To achieve this goal, the lightweight crankshaft has a pressure lubricated plain big end bearing, and two force-fitted shells that run directly on the crank pin. The König bridge-box-type piston weighs 330g and has a bore of 95mm, it was developed to reduce engine vibration and optimise strength. The compression ratio is 12.6:1 for an amazing peak output of 60 hp. SWINGARM The single component construction of the aluminium swingarm eliminates welding, providing more reliability, stability and safety, as well as superior quality and consistent behaviour over time compared to other construction processes. The specific flex engineered into the swingarm makes the most of the Husqvarna engine characteristics in terms of traction and power. 2016 Husqvarna FC 450, 2016 Husqvarna® FC 450 MUSCULAR PERFORMANCE The ground-breaking new generation chassis is fitted with the most powerful Husqvarna motocross engine ever developed. The 63 horsepower single-overhead-cam 450 cc power plant has been completely redesigned; it is now smaller and lighter and has been completely reconfigured for optimal mass-centralisation within the new chromoly steel frame. The new bodywork elevates the riding experience thanks to accurately developed ergonomics that focus on instilling rider confidence, complete control and reduced fatigue. Features May Include: NEW ENGINE The new SOHC engine is 23 mm shorter, 23 mm narrower and 9 mm lower than the previous generation. Every internal component was revised and repositioned, lowering weight by an astonishing 1.8 kg for an overall weight of 27.8kg, increasing power to 63 hp and improving torque along the entire rev-range. Mass-centralisation was a key development factor, enabling chassis engineers to position the engine closer to the centre of gravity for greatly improved handling and manoeuvrability. Vibrations are kept to a minimum thanks to a multifunctional counter balance shaft that also drives the water pump and timing chain. NEW GEARBOX A lighter and more compact 5-speed gearbox is 8 mm narrower and 350 g lighter than the previous generation. The new surface treatment on 1st and 5th gears improves reliability, and combined with a new low-friction coating on the shifting fork and a redesigned shift drum, guarantee smooth and precise shifting. The gear lever features a new tip design that prevents dirt build-up. An advanced gear sensor allows for specific engine maps in each gear. NEW FRAME With years of experience in designing the most advanced steel frames in offroad, the engineers in Research and Development have designed a completely new chromium molibdenum steel frame that redefines every structural aspect in order to improve handling, ergonomics and packaging. The torsional rigidity and longitudinal stiffness have been completely rethought. The 6mm wider and 2mm lower steel tubes offer 20% more torsional rigidity and 30% less longitudinal stiffness compared to the previous generation frame design. These characteristics, matched to the new engine stays, improve handling precision while at the same time increasing bump-absorption and feeling. NEW CRANKSHAFT The new crankshaft features 10% more inertia and has been repositioned 9 mm backwards and 7 mm higher. The higher inertia increases traction and rideability while the new position within the engine contributes to mass-centralisation.
