1986 Honda XL250R Dual Sport Plated Bike. This bike is in AMAZING condition. People have a hard time believing this bike has never been restored. It has the original seat on it! Runs and rides great. Current registration, CA street legal, new rings, valves, tires, battery, filters, oil change.... I bought this bike from the original owner, the bike comes with a maintenance/journal that is amazing, it has details from MPG logs down to details including what type of wax was used to clean it! I had this bike on auction about two years ago and it went to $3500.00. The buyer wanted to re-live his past. After the sale the buyers son sent a message that his Dad had died, but if I wanted he would still honor the sale. After consideration I decided to keep it. I bought this in a basket years ago and spent hours trying to put it back to original as I could. It is as close as I could get considering how hard it was to find plastics and other parts. Engine, transmission and frame parts are no problem. I have turned down many offers for it but could never bring myself to sell. I'm now 65, handicapped and a DAV, I can't start it or even get on it. If you are local to Mecklenburg county Virginia I reserve the right to not sell to you, just can't stand the thought of seeing it after the sale. This bike has been the love of my life. It will need a good cleaning to get it into a collection, it's been setting in the garage for over a year and dusty. This morning I put gas in it and it started on the 2nd kick. Runs even better than it looks, too many new parts to list, Mileage is original to bike. If no one buys this in a reasonable time I may change my mind end the sale, and put it back in the garage.
