This Honda VFR has low mileage runs strong and shifts nicely through all the gears. I also don't need help selling. I don't need or have to sell at the moment. No tire Kickers ! Thanks.I'm reluctantly entertaining selling my 1998 Honda VFR. The bike has 22000 miles which will increase as I will use it a bit here and there. These bikes are known to go 80-100,000 miles so the mileage is low to say the least. I bought it from someone in Louisville who wanted to keep it but had health issues to deal with so you know how the story goes. As you can see in the picture the tank has a some damage. The previous owner said (which I believe because I still have a little faith in Humanity) that he was pulling the bike out of his storage shed and lost control of the bike on wet ground into the side of his house. This in return led to the damage to the tank. I was planning on trying to locate another tank or get it repaired in the future. The bra covers it up perfectly until then, and I like the look with the bra anyways. If it wasn't for the tank damage I'd be asking a bit more for the bike as I know this bike will only go up in value and is one of the most sought out VFR gens(5th Gen). It has risers a Corbin Saddle and Eclipse soft bags. The bike is not perfect but that being said it wouldn't take much to get it there. There is a crack in the rear taillight from a rock and a couple spots that need to be touched up. The fluids are all fresh and clean. I just changed the air filter a couple months ago. The tires have plenty of life left. I do have maintenance records from the original owner and the second owner. Its been garaged since I've had it and I know the previous owner did the same. The bike still has the original owners manual, and tool kit under the seat, and I'm including the service manual. The only reason I'm looking into selling it because I just haven't been riding like I used to, I'm entertaining the idea of moving/traveling and want to downsize in the meantime. I will be upfront with you on everything I know about the bike so please only seriously interested buyers. I'm asking $2500. I want the bike to go to a good home. Pristine 1999 Honda VFR800FI 5th Generation with gear driven cams! If you are looking for a super low mileage time capsule look no further. Always garage kept. I owned a 4th generation back in 1995 and have always wanted another VFR. After extensive research the majority of VFR owners and motorcycle enthusiast consider the 5th generation the best of the VFR's and arguably one of the best motorcycles Honda has ever made. I searched for almost a year to find a bike this nice. I bought this from a 43 year old original owner who took great care of this motorcycle for 15 years, it had 6883 miles on it. It looked great in the pictures but I honestly couldn't believe how nice it looked in person. I have very high standards and this definitely exceeded them. It currently has 9673 miles on it. I am 48 years old and have owned it for 2 years, Anyone who knows me is well aware of how meticulous I am and always take what I purchase and make it even better. It also had the original tires so I replaced them with some of the best sport touring tires on the market the Michelin Pilot Road 3's. I just changed the brake and clutch fluids as we'll as changed the oil. I did a bunch of research on the forums to see if there were any potential 'bugs' with the 5th generation and found the wiring harness and regulator could sometimes overheat and melt and so I purchased the VFRness and Ricks Motorsport Mosfet regulator rectifier not because it showed any sign that it needed it, I spent the money for piece of mind. I absolutely love this bike, the titanium high mount Remus exhaust brings the soul of the V4 engine to life showing off the intoxicating 'wuffle wuffle' sound and displaying the beautiful single sided swingarm. This 5th generation is the last of the gear driven cams and not only are they much more reliable than chain driven, the 'whirr' noise they make combined with the V4 sound makes each ride unforgettable. Nothing would make me happier than to sell this incredible motorcycle to someone who will appreciate it as much as I do and the original owner did. Please only serious inquiries and no low bidders. 1998 Honda Vfr 800 F1X INTERCEPTOR, Selling my cycle to buy a boat for my family. At this time the brake lever and mirror need to be replaced but it is driveable (wife dropped it in the garage). The bike was repainted and they didn't do the best job. But it's a real head turner from 100ft away! Up close, you'll notice a lot of imperfections. Front tire & battery were replaced last season. 1998 Honda Vfr 800 F1X INTERCEPTOR, Excellent cosmetics for its age, and in perfect running condition. Fitted with clipon risers, footpeg lowering hardware, and Corbin seat this bike is the ultimate comfort sport tourer. Would make an awesome commuter bike. This really is the most motorcycle you can buy for the price. Hard to find a '98 in better condition. 19,375 miles. This bike was down with a previous owner, but was later sold thru a dealer and is in A1 condition. I have had it for the last eleven years, it has been dealer serviced, and I have cared for it meticulously.
