I'm the 2nd owner of this 2002 Honda VFR800, which has about 26k miles. What isn't stock has been replaced by OEM-size parts. The valves were checked at 16,000 miles (they were within tolerance). The chain & sprockets were replaced along with new plugs and coolant at 20k miles, which is when its last oil change was done. (I always put synthetic oil in it.) The exhaust is stock, the VTEC works great, and the bike runs STRONG. It includes matching Hondaline hard bags. When I started it this year, it started right up and idled right away...and ran perfectly. It might need tires this year, depending on how much you ride.It's not a "hard-core" bike like a CBR; it's a sport-tourer with the emphasis on sport. It'll gladly take on back roads or interstates--whatever you want. I've ridden to Sparta in a cold rain, and the bike was stable and easy to ride.

Honda VFR 700cc V-Four 1987 43,000 miles. Recently serviced by Cycle Tech. Carbs rebuilt, new battery, newer tires, larger wind screen with attached Pluig wind deflector, Corbin seat with passenger backrest, Kerker exhaust, Nelson soft saddle bags included. Runs awesome. 3,271 miles. K&N filter. Delkevic dual slip-on exhaust with carbon fiber canisters, sounds amazing. 2 HJC helmets (large and small), Joe Rocket racing gloves (large), BILT Explorer jacket with removable liner (XL black/grey), Street and Steel riding jacket with zip-out sweatshirt (M black), bike cover, Joe Rocket back pack. Everything is like new. Original exhaust goes with. Baffles still in aftermarket exhaust, take them out easily for even more powerful sound. I bought the bike 2 years ago with 950 miles. $6,500 without gear.
