2001 Honda Valkyrie Standard Black GL1500CD. Set up like the Tourer model with windshield and hard bags. Comes with Hondaline sissybar and backrest, an aftermarket drivers backrest, Kuryakyn highway pegs, Kurykakyn ISO grips, throttle lock, some extra chrome caliper covers and fork covers up front. The windshield is a Memphis shades. The hardbags are national cycle bags, and are quick release so both the windshield and bags come off easily for cleaning or a sleekier look. This model has the factory polished rims which saves a ton of time trying to clean up the bike. Comes with Cobra 6 into 6 exhaust (with baffles) for a nice throaty note without destroying your hearing, but if you prefer the original quiet I think I may still have a set of stock pipes in my attic. This has been a great bike for me, done alot of cruising around town and alot of road trip. I even did an endurance challenge on it, the Iron Butt "Saddle Sore" which is more than 1000 miles in less than 24 hours. Newer Dunlop Elite 3 tires front and back. Fresh oil change with Amsoil Motorcycle Synthetic and K&N Filter. This bike is ready to hit the road. If you are not familiar with the history of this bike. They built this bike in the US in Maryville Ohio, by taking the highly reliable 1520cc flat 6 cylinder engine that was being used for the goldwing, dropped in hotter cams, better carbs, and got rid of all the plastic, and put it in a standard cruiser frame and cruiser style sheetmetal. So it makes for a sort of muscle cruiser that is easy to set up for touring, with great power and the bullet proof reliability that Honda is known for. Hate to see it go, but would like to make some room in the garage. While the bike is in great shape and ready to hit the road, its also a 2001, so assume there is some normal wear and tear on the bike and will not be cosmetically perfect, but will still look great if you take the time to clean and polish it. Please remember the time to ask questions and do an inspection is before the auction ends. I have the bike listed locally and reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells. While I would hope you would ride this bike home since with a fresh oil change and good tires, you should be able to go coast to coast with no problems, I do understand not everyone has the time, so if you would like to ship the bike, you are responsible to make those arrangements which ever company you choose, and I will try to be helpful at my end when they want to pick it up.
