Well cared for 2003 Honda Silver Wing with 21,000 miles. Bike has always been taken care of with scheduled maintenance and TLC. Tires are good. Bike has aftermarket Givi top case, Givi windshield, leather seat and muffler.The bike has scratches on both sides from drops at complete stops. I was learning to ride!The Silver Wing gets 50 mpg with each tank full whether all highway, city or mix of miles.

$2900.00 CASH FIRM! Clean clear title in hand. Be sure when shopping for these scooters you compare apples to apples. Keep in mind important factors like new tires, Givi windscreens, etc. This a very NICE and very, very fast maxi-touring scooter. Will hit 90 MPH with the greatest of ease. Can do a 70 to 85 MPH uphill pass on the interstate with noooooo problem, I do love this scooter, and am in NO hurt to sell it. However, having that been said my interests have changed and am willing to sell it for $2900 firm. Would consider trading ONLY on a dual sport or adventure bike of equal retail value. ( NADA value on my Silverwing as of 12/21/2016 is $3800.00 ) Will trade for a lesser priced dual sport if cash difference is given. I have a bagger, and 3 other scooters, so it is not like I have nothing else to ride if this sells. 1st come 1st serve. Nice old GL500 Interstate. Runs great! New windscreen, foam grips, Kenda tires 3 months ago. Both seats professionally recovered at a upholstery shop a couple of months ago.NOTE: Speedometer broke at 36k miles (as can be seen on my you tube channel ) Speedometer & tachometer replaced with a Trail Tech digital inst. cluster. Having issues getting the tachometer to read RPM accurately. Has been a project bike, but life changes negate selling the bike. I have $1700 already in this bike. No longer have the time to complete the restoration. Mechanically solid as a rock! Onlymechanical need at this point is right front fork seal leaks a little bit. Maybe replace exhaustor paint the exhaust with VHT paint. The MAIN thing this 'ol gal need is a decent proper paint job. Was next on my list to do but as mentioned a major life change has left me with ZERO time to finish the restoration. Top box & rack have been removed but I can reinstall them if you purchase the bike and want them installed. I liked the looks of it much better with it off of the bike. Clean clear title in hand! Does NOT have a radio installed. GPS unit shown in pictures notincluded in sales price! Can purchase GPS unit with the bike for $50 (firm!) extra. NADA book value is $1745. Selling for $1400 FIRM! This IS a great price! You will be very hard pressed to find a nicer bike and/or more bike for the money!

Please read fully: 1981 Honda GL500 SilverWing Interstate. Clean cleat title in hand. I purchased this to be a wintertime frame off restoration. I got a new job plus just purchased a house that needs some TLC and I am not going to have the time to restore this bike. The good: New tires front & rear! Have put about 100 miles on them. NEW Slipstreamer windscreen, new front brake master cylinder, rebuilt R.H. front brake caliper (was seeping). New front break pads. Pilot's seat profeshionally recovered and is VERY comfy! Battery is only about 6 months old. New foam grips. New H4 halogen headlight bulb. ALL lights work properly. I installed a new marine grade dual port USB charger neatly installed in front fairing and is activated when the ignition switch is turned on. Bike is licensed & insured and I have put aprox 150 miles on this bike in the last week. Runs smooth as a new one and rides smooth as butter! The bad: 1) Needs front timing cover gasket & seal replaced. It is not so bad that you can not ride the bike for several hundred miles at a time. It just seeps a bit and will leave oil drips on the floor when parked, , , , , much like my Harley did. :-/ I HAVE the gaskets (2 required) and the camshaft seal (part of the timing cover. May not be bad, but while it is off is a perfect time to go ahead and change it too ) and those parts will go with the bike. 2) The paint is fair at best. So, in summary, it is a good running, smoooooth riding, decent looking bike. Just needs a proper restoration ---or-- would make a good bobber project as the front fairing alone brings $300+ on e-bay. CASH OR TRADE ONLY. MUST have clean clear title in hand for your trade in. NO free rides. If you take it out for a test ride, I hold your cash in hand hostage till you bring it back safely. You wreck it, you bought it! Will trade for: GL1200 or a dual sport / Enduro bike. May consider other trades. I have waaaaaayyyyyy too much money invested in this already. My loss is your gain!

1982 Honda GL500 Interstate Silverwing in great shape. Fall riding weather is here, and I cannot think of a nicer way to cruise the back-roads than with this sweet bike. I brought this bike unsure if I would keep it or make some repairs and flip it. Under other circumstances, I would not part with it, as I like it that much. It's light enough to be nimble around town, yet has the stones for the open road with hard bags full of gear. It needs nothing and is ready to ride as-is. The left fork seal is just starting to seep (fairly normal given the age). I have a set of seals and may put them in if time permits (price will adjust accordingly). Here are some specifics: -2 cylinder -500cc -5 speed -shaft drive (smooth and reliable) -liquid cooled -full hard bags and trunk (hard bags detach very easily) -new rear tire, front is 50% -fresh oil and filter change -nearly new front brakes -new windshield -comes with Clymer manual and cover -Clear title in hand Price is $1800 cash, negotiable.
