For sale:1999 Honda Rebel, 250cc. $1,400 OBO. Just hit 10,000 miles (still riding it).I've owned this bike for 3 years (I am the third owner) and honestly hate to part with it, but the time has come for something new.The Rebel is the standard for any new rider or city commuter. Fun to ride, easy to maneuver, fantastic fuel economy. The 2.1 gallon tank usually gets me 120~ miles in the city. Engine is a air-cooled 234cc V-twin that is regarded as bullet-proof. With a full tank of gas, the Rebel only weighs 330 lbs. The weight is just one of the reasons that makes the Rebel a powerhouse in the 250 class. It's also quick off the line while still having the power to cruise at 60-70 mph. Garage kept, regular oil changes, starts EVERY time, even after sitting for a while. I've only needed to use the choke to get her going in the colder months. These Hondas are solid as a rock. The bike hasn't required any major work, other than regular carb clean and new spark plugs. That being said, I would recommend considering new tires and brake pads in the next year. There is 1 ding on the right side of the tank from a prior owner (see picture), and it could probably be removed easily. No other damage. Never dropped. Insurance premiums are practically nothing, making this a super affordable motorcycle. Comes with cover (which has seen better days, but keeps the bike clean).Clear DC title.
