This 1979 Honda CX500D has been in my family since 1981. We are the second owner of this bike and I have performed all of the maintenance on it myself since acquiring it. I properly winterize it each fall, and each spring it starts willingly. Motor oil, differential fluid, and brake fluid have all been changed regularly. Tires have about 2,500 miles on them. Front brake pads and rear brake shoes were replaced 1,800 miles ago. Mechanical seal has been changed a couple times in its life, most recently about 1,200 miles ago. Cosmetically, the bike shines up nice and has minor dings and scratches typical of a nearly 40 year old motorcyle, but looks great for its age.This bike was taken on an 800 mile round trip excursion in recent years and ran great yielding 55 miles per gallon, but is mostly ridden for errands casually on weekends. A Vetter "Vindicator" fairing and mounting hardware along with a rear back rest with luggage rack are included. I will consider delivering the bike to an address within reasonable distance with fair negotiation. Bike needs nothing else to be a daily rider and will faithfully serve its new owner as a daily commuter or even as a collection peice. Not many of these left in comparable running condition. I have two other bikes and need space, and two kids in college so sadly, this old friend must go.

Get your hands on a classic! This bike has a transverse V-twin liquid cooled engine, with a 5 speed shaft drive transmission. These features are hard to find on anything but a premium bike!Other details include mag wheels. Has an electric start but can also be easily push started. Leather seat, fits two. Storage under seat holds tools and spare parts. Original owners manual included. Great project bike. Main issues are: needs new stator coils on the alternator and a new battery. Engine hasn't been run in a while. Will need some work to get running. Misc other repairs may be needed. Being sold as is.Owner doesn't ride anymore and needs to make space in the garage.

Possibly the nicest CX500 in the country. Believe that the bike is mechanically perfect. It runs very smoothly and is a joy to ride. This is a great bike for around town & commuting to work. The trunk holds almost a full bag of groceries. Bike has a new oil seal, water pump gasket, carburetor floats, headlight and tires. Also includes: cover, extra Honda emblems, repair manual and Honda two tone gold jacket IF it fits. The bike has a rust spot on the trunk frame and the inside of each of the exhaust pipes near the engine (not visible). This is a V-twin, water cooled, shaft drive with less than 12,500 miles. For all you Vintage Bike enthusiasts, here is your chance to own a BEAUTIFUL 1980 CX 500 Deluxe in great shape. This bike has been garage kept since day 1. It has a Pacifica fairing with matching hard bags and a trunk which can easily be bolted back on if you like. the Bike has 14000 original miles on it. It has a new radio which will need to be wired in, I was not big on radios in bikes. This bike has been sitting for a couple of years and will need to have the carbs cleaned. It runs fine but the choke has to be partially closed to prevent throttle hesitation. I'm sure this not a huge deal to correct. Bike is in beautiful shape and the paint shines like new. New mufflers were installed a couple of years ago and I put a battery in it last year.

1980 Honda Cx 500 DELUXE, For 700 Or best offer. We bought a house and this was in the back yard.I wanted to fix it up and make it a custom cafe racer. I just had a kid and don't have the time or money. Great project bike or for parts.we don't know anything about the bike even though we have tried.the dmv and police can't find anything on it. Its too old for a vin number and only has a model number. If need be one can get a salvage title for it. The engine still is in working order and turns over with ease. It will need lots of love but would be a great one when finished. $700.00
