1980 Honda CX500 $500/TradeXXXXX!NOT IN RUNNING CONDITION!XXXXXNeeds a new starter and battery. Bike in decent condition, gas tank is in good condition besides a dent in tank up by throttle due to being hit while transported. No headlight,previous owner removed headlight and screwed with the wiring. I was running a small led bar on it but removed it after it broke down. I have extra part from when carb was rebuilt recently as well as the stock headlight and a housing. newer tires.Trades for dirtbike/dual sport,jeeps/trucks, manual beater cars, any awd/4x4 vehicle. Recently I picked up this exceptional example one of Honda's most unique dependable and great all around motorcycles, the CX500. This bike is quick starting runs and rides fantastic tires are fairly new.80 to 90 % good. My partner took it out for a ride in the country and put 33 miles on it he returned with a big grin on his face. He said the bike was a joy to ride it run strong (specs say the cx500 is capable of over 100mph) handled superbly. All in all this is a great vintage motorcycle for around town or with the saddle bags trunk windshield and only 18,000 miles is ready to go on that cycle vacation. For all you Vintage Bike enthusiasts, here is your chance to own a BEAUTIFUL 1980 CX 500 Deluxe in great shape. This bike has been garage kept since day 1. It has a Pacifica fairing with matching hard bags and a trunk which can easily be bolted back on if you like. the Bike has 14000 original miles on it. It has a new radio which will need to be wired in, I was not big on radios in bikes. This bike has been sitting for a couple of years and will need to have the carbs cleaned. It runs fine but the choke has to be partially closed to prevent throttle hesitation. I'm sure this not a huge deal to correct. Bike is in beautiful shape and the paint shines like new. New mufflers were installed a couple of years ago and I put a battery in it last year.

1979 Honda CX500, A Honda Never Grows Old - The Honda CX series motorcycles were developed and released by Honda in the late 1970s. The design included innovative features and technologies that were uncommon or unused at the time such as liquid cooling, electric-only starting, low-maintenance shaft drive, modular wheels, and dual CV-type carburetors that were tuned for reduced emissions. The electronic ignition system was separate from the rest of the electrical system, enabling the motorcycle to be push-started and ridden in case of a total electrical system failure. This CX500 came in on a recent trade and only has 7300 original miles on it. A great runabout for those looking to roll past the gas pumps.

1978 Honda Cx 500, This is my CX500 based Cafe Racer/Flat Tracker/ Dual Sport. The bike starts and runs excellently. There is no smoke and it has good compression. The gearbox and clutch work properly. The braking system works well, the engine cools properly at speed or in traffic, and the bike is a pleasure to ride. Items on bike are professionally painted to a mirror finish or powder coated. It is fitted with Renthal Style handle bars, new dual sport tires, British style headlamp and a shorty exhaust system which sounds awesome! Attention to detail is very important to me. This bike turned out gorgeous, has been tons of fun, and will certainly be enjoyed by its new owner. $4,700.00
