Selling my girlfriend's 1979 Honda CM400A motorcycle. She bought it a couple of years ago and never got her license, so it's basically been sitting :(In general, it's in great shape for its age. The metallic green paint still shines, it starts on the first or second kick (it's also got an electric start) and it's super easy to ride. I pulled the (new) battery while it was sitting and kept it on a trickle charger. I also kept the tank topped up with Stabil. It's been covered, in a garage, but I pulled it out this morning and it started right up when I put the battery back in. I rode it around town and gave it a bath and I didn't have any problems. All the lights work and the horn works (but it's admittedly super dinky haha). You can check out a couple vids I took when I rode it this morning:Electric start: s:// /r4i6fKick start: s:// /b7qsiA few things should be taken care of: the front disc needs a new pad, the tires should probably be replaced (there's plenty of tread, but the sidewalls are cracking), and it could probably use a carb cleaning. It started up fine this morning, but tended to sputter a little when I took the choke off. This would be a great starter bike for someone intimidated by a manual transmission. There's no clutch on this thing, you just shift it into neutral, first or second at will. It's also got a super low (and comfy) seat. Could be cafe'd pretty easy. Lastly, SOMEONE never got this thing registered, so it's got some back fees. I have the title, but it still has the previous owner's info on it. I checked on the DMV's website today and the back fees total approximately $367. I attached a pic of the estimate for reference. You can also look up the VIN for yourself: NC022003400. Only 4,100 miles.It has been in my family since it was new and it was my mother's bike. When she stopped riding in about 1985 we put it on a skid and put it up on warehouse racking in our family business. It sat there for years in a protected temperature controlled environment. It is startling how perfect everything is, the hoses and the plastic and the wire chases all look like new. • There is a color matched luggage rack that comes with the bike. There are vinyl letters that say, "My mother's motorcycle" Just peel them off and you are ready to remount the box. It locks and we have the key. • There is a brand new never mounted Memphis Shades 19" Fats Clear windshield if you are like, it is still in the box. I have the receipt, $225. It does not have the mounting hardware so you will need to order that.• The tank was repainted. When we took the bike down off the racking and put it on the floor someone dropped something on the tank within a day or so and scratched it. Damn...• I had a shop get the bike running a couple of years ago, by investing about $1800 in it. Then I never rode it. • It needs a neutral indictor switch. You can kick start the bike, but who wants to do that, if you want the electric start then it needs to be repaired. • Otherwise it is absolutely amazing. Like a museum piece.Just for humor look at the last picture taken about 1983. Her bike is the last one on the right. I wish I aged as well as this bike. LOL

I am the second owner of this beautiful twin cylinder honda cruiser. It had 5k miles when I purchased it 6 years ago and have put on another 5k since owning it. She is always garaged and well maintained. It has never been dropped and only has a small scratch on the tank. All of the original chrome is in excellent condition. It comes with the original tool kit under the seat and the original owners manual that came with the bike. Carburetors were rebuilt 4 years ago and it has 2 new tires and a new battery. Runs excellent and needs nothing. $1950

Miles are 18,xxx Great starter bike and hard to find valued from nada at 2,800 im asking 2,000 or best offer, need to sell. I have title in hand and it is clean. Overall great looking bike. You can find this motorcycles for a lot less but it will not be in this condition and will require major repairs why not just buy it right. I am asking 2450.00 for both cm400a automatics the one with a windshield is a great bike it has 30,000 miles on it but has had a ENGINE REBUILD ,and carb rebuild new battery and chain and sprockets that alone is 1600. dollars worth of work have receipts . The other one is a parts /project bike i have no idea what will take to get it running basically throwing it in for free it does have brand new tires on it. listed is a picture of the na price guide this one is in excellent condition and is run daily you will not find a better example of this motorcycle the owner before me enjoyed taking it to car shows.

I have 2 1980 antique hondamatics selling together one is fully fram off restored the other one is a parts/ project bike .The bikes are rare and the one that has been restored will not be found anywhere in this mint condition must see to believe i am asking 3000. for both. One has 30,000 on it and the other 8500 miles Cash no Trades. Ride a piece of history while enjoying the easiest riding bike on the road they are two speed automatics no clutch that means you have a low gear for quick acceleration and a high gear for cruising the gears are neutral 1,and 2. it also has a quick turn radius and excellent cornering with a very smooth ride even the footpegs and handlebars have shock absorbers in them to dampen vibration. This motorcycle does not just sit in my garage it is run everyday for a couple of miles so that it stays in good running shape that is key to keeping them running good.
