1981 Honda CBX in Magnum Silver Metallic. One of, if not the finest example of Honda’s legendary 6 cylinder sport touring Superbike. Excellent condition. Period correct Kerker exhaust system installed by original owner shortly after purchase. (I have the original exhaust system at additional cost if you would like them). Original keys. Runs perfectly. Smooth, fast, responsive rocket power. 24,800 original miles. This is not a "school bike". Originally purchased by a Honda mechanic who put most of the miles on the bike. Then, it went into a private collection, and from there into my personal collection. The original mechanic owner must have had a connection with the Honda sales rep at the time because rare accessories adorn this beauty, including: OEM fork stabilizers, fairing windshield high speed stabilizer, passenger backrest (not mounted on bike, and is available at additional cost if interested). Both saddle bags have the rare, original liner and divider pieces. A true Honda classic in excellent condition.

When you park your Honda CBX people will stop, look, and want to talk to you, fascinated by the unique engine. The visual impact of the Honda CBX is hard to overstate. Six cylinders, six carburetors, four overhead camshafts, and 24 valves make a big visual impact. With its inline six-cylinder engine the Honda CBX 1000 was groundbreaking when it first debuted in 1978. Production lasted until 1982 and, in the space of those four short years, it gained a place in motorcycle history. Unsurprisingly, it is a heavy bike at 600 lbs. wet, but the big engine produces 103 horsepower and accelerates strongly to its redline. This bike is driven regularly and is mostly original, The front and rear shocks are currently progressive but the original functioning rear air shock and front spring set come with the purchase.

Selling my CBX 1000. White and Blue w hard bags. 10,000 bike was perfect in every way until a D- ring failed in my trailer. Broke the top fairing and glass easy fix but rubbed on the right side of the tank so it's gonna need a little body work. Pipes survived without a scratch but my loss is your gain. Was gonna ask 10K but now $7500 or best cash offer. Selling some of my collection Norton 850 commando, H1 500, CBX, 750 buffalo. Call for details. Hard bags were not on it so they are fine. I am regretfully selling my 1982 Honda CBX1000 Super Sport. She is in nearly new condition with only 20,200 miles on her. Starts, runs, and drives like new. Paint is the original factory paint in excellent condition with only a few minor chips on the removable saddle bags as you would expect from 20k miles of usage. Always stored in a climate controlled storage since new. Brand new tires, just serviced with oil and fluid changes. Brakes are good plus comes with all 3 sets of brand new pads that I was going to change when I put on the new tires but it did not need it yet. . Comes with Corbin leather seat and backrest installed but also comes with the original factory Honda seat. Also comes with the factory Honda Shop Manual. The CBX was only made 4 years and this was the last year and the only year they were available in the pearlescent white. These bikes are appreciating in value and will only go up with time. There are very few of these left in nice factory original condition with low miles like this. This bike turns heads and gets comments wherever I go with it. Only selling due to health reasons, my loss is your gain. I will sell this bike for $6900. I know this is cheap but I would like to move it fast. No low ballers, scammers, or trades. Local pick up for cash only although I might consider delivering it within 100 miles of home. Buy and ride an appreciating classic that is like money in the bank. I am sad to be selling this immaculate one of a kind motorcycle. I am the third owner and I purchased it from a collector. This bike has only 954 original miles from new and was stored in a climate controlled garage. All of the parts are 100% original with no rebuilds or repaints. Starts up first time and has had the oil changed meticulously every three months. I run it every other day and will ride it a few miles once a month, just to keep the bike in good running order. Tires are new with virtually no wear, but will need to be changed because of age, if you decide to ride the bike any length of time. Also comes with original tool kit, air gauge, owners manual and shop manual and as an added plus, an original brochure from the dealer ships in 1982. You wont be disappointed with this bike. I am buying a house and will need the money for that, so it is your gain and my loss. These bikes are going up in value every year and rapidly becoming hard to find. According to all the information on these, there were only approximately 2500 ever built in the last year of production. Make an offer, but serious buyers only need apply.
