I am sad to be selling this immaculate one of a kind motorcycle. I am the third owner and I purchased it from a collector. This bike has only 954 original miles from new and was stored in a climate controlled garage. All of the parts are 100% original with no rebuilds or repaints. Starts up first time and has had the oil changed meticulously every three months. I run it every other day and will ride it a few miles once a month, just to keep the bike in good running order. Tires are new with virtually no wear, but will need to be changed because of age, if you decide to ride the bike any length of time. Also comes with original tool kit, air gauge, owners manual and shop manual and as an added plus, an original brochure from the dealer ships in 1982. You wont be disappointed with this bike. I am buying a house and will need the money for that, so it is your gain and my loss. These bikes are going up in value every year and rapidly becoming hard to find. According to all the information on these, there were only approximately 2500 ever built in the last year of production. Make an offer, but serious buyers only need apply.

So I purchased this bike in an estate sale with other bikes and parts. The sellers told me that their father bought the bike in the late 1980s and built the bike through the 90s but was an ongoing project. We installed a new battery and put fresh fuel in it and It fired up but bogged/died at idle. So after cleaning all 6 carbs It runs and idles now but needs tuning (carbs synced). The exhaust note is extremely loud (and unique) with these short pipes! The bike rides good but I didn't want to be too aggressive without the carbs tuned correctly. The frame is custom and has had all the welds smoothed out. Due to this there are no stamped numbers on the neck, just the vin plate and a custom plate that have been stuck on with double backed tape. I have a clean CA title issued in 1990 on hand but it has fallen out of the CA dmv system. The bikes vin # on the tag, motor # and plate # all match the title. I do not know the original miles on the bike, there is a odo in the box of spare parts that has 16k miles but I have no way of knowing if that's the original. Also including a set of longer pipes with brackets that are unfinished. Please review the pictures, they say more than I can. The bike has had a lot of time put into it. First, go to Yoo Toob and type in cbx.avi to hear the exhaust it's awesome. This bike has been in my stable for a few years, in which I attempted to perfect it. The black paint is very nice save for one tiny (who gives a shit) ding on the tank that was there when I purchased it. The rear wheel has been widened and the swingarm lengthened to accomodate it. It has a lovely custom Corbin seat, I added the polished wheels from the '79. The 6x6 exhaust was custom made for the bike. I've always kept it in the best condition. It was just tuned by race mechanic Ronnie Lindley at Power Performance Perfection in Oceanside, Ca. Everything kept new. Nearly 15 grand invested. This bike is 50% custom, so please don't bust my cojones about concourse bs or " CBX correctness". Amigos, I'm old and don't take many prisoners. But, feel free to ask legit questions. The mileage listed is on the rebuild. Ronnie recently dynoed at 100 rwhp. The engine is tight as you can hear from the video clip.
