This is the first l year of the VL's this bike has won the Antique Motorcycle Club of America Senior First Award. My bike has been completely and professionally restored from a complete original bike using almost all original parts. This Bike is not cheap, however I believe I am asking a fair price for what I am offering. I am also listing a first year 1936 VLD which has also achieved the Senior First AMCA award. If you are serious about collecting a great example of an antique Harley this is a great opportunity to pick up both the first and last year of the VL's, both AMCA Senior First Winners This bike has always been kept in a climate controlled garage and has only been ridden about 75miles since a complete frame up restoration. AS A SIDE NOTE I AM ALSO CONSIDERING SELLING SEVERAL OF MY HARLEY KNUCKLES, ALL ARE AMCA SENIOR FIRST WINNERS, OR WINNER CIRCLE BIKES, IF INTERESTED PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME FOR INFORMATION. I have available the scoring sheets from the AMCA meets, and can provide information on the bike if requested. Please ask any questions prior to bidding as all sales are final, this bike is being sold, "as is" there are no warranties included. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, however I can help arrange for pickup if needed. If you are in South Florida and wish to see the bike please contact me and I will try to make arrangements. Rare, Rare Pre-War 1932 Harley Davidson VL74 Flathead. Prior to 1932, Harley Davidson was Enjoying Increased Sales of Motorcycles. Then the Late 1920s/ Early 1930s Felt the Cold of the Great Depression. With Almost 33% of Americans Unemployed, and Much Lower Consumer Spending, 1932 was One of the Lowest Production Years Harley Davidsons Were Made. In Fact, the Great Depression Almost Put Harley Out of Business. Then World War 2 Got on Its Way and Young Servicemen Were Called to Duty. Again, Sales Were Slow as America's Priority was Fighting a War. In 2006, I Acquired This Pre-War Harley From a Relative of the Second Owner. As the Story was Told to Me, the Second Owner Bought the Motorcycle in the Mid 1930's in Kansas(Bought it in Wichita, but Lived in Colby) and Road it Regularly Till the Late 1940s. It Was Then Stored in a Wood Shed From the Late 1940s Till 2003 When the Owner Passed Away. Probate and Family Issues Tied Up the Harley and Numerous Other Possessions of the Late Owner Till the Fall of 2006. In Late November, I Bought It and Had the Motorcycle Shipped From Kansas to Southern California. My Intentions Were to Fully Restore the Pre-War Harley and Have It Resemble Itself Back to When It was New in the 1930s. I Wanted to Perform a Full Restoration on This Motorcycle Because It was Never Rusted, Modified, Cut Up, or Welded On. Health Issues and Other Financial Priorities Took Me as Far to the Where Pictures Show Today. After It was Disassembled, the Frame, Gas/Oil Tanks Were Bead Blasted and Painted Cadillac Pearl White. The Original 1932 Motor/Transmission was Stripped Down, Cleaned and Inspected. The Transmission Was Rebuilt in 2013. The Springer Front End Since the Pictures Were Taken Has Been Powder Coated. This Harley Needs to Be Assembled and Put on the Street Again!! This is 100% American Steel!! When They Use to Make Things Right!! Start and Enjoy This Fall/Winter Project Now So It Will Be Ready to Cruise in the Spring/Summer!! If Your Serious About Adding a Rare Rare Pre-War 1932 Harley to Your Stable, Not Seriously Considering This Example, Would Be a Missed Opportunity!! This Would Make An Excellent Father/Son Project. Note- This 83 Year Old Harley is Sold As Is, As Shown With No Warranty Whatsoever. WYSIWYG....This Classic Motorcycle Is Listed Elsewhere and We May Terminate This Sale Anytime. Please Call Cindy at (909)844-8677 For More Information.
