2014 Harley Davidson TOURING POLICE ROAD KING FLHP, Harley-Davidson knows that the engine is the heart and soul of a motorcycle. Extreme care, precision, and engineering went into the creation of the Twin Cam 103 engine. It is a 2-cylinder engine with overheard-valves (OHV), two valves per cylinder. For police, we equipped it with an engine cooler for when they need to get going. Harley-Davidson knew that maintenance costs could be a pain. That is why they designed the Twin Cam 103 with self-adjusting hydraulic lifters that reduce overall maintenance requirements. The Twin Cam 103 also has an electronic sequential port fuel injection (ESPFI) that replaces the carburetor. The Twin Cam 103 takes 91 octane fuel because of the 9.6:1 compression.
