Original & Only owner of this 1988 Harley Softail Springer FXSTS. These were numbered bikes and this one is 1029 out of 1450. The story behind these models are well known and these are the bikes generally representing Harley's in bike encyclopedia's. No leaks, issues, problems, and starts right up. When I first purchased bike I replaced all the lines with braided lines and ran all the wires on the handlebars inside & thru the handle bars to give it a cleaner look. The pipes and carb are S&S. It has 2 chrome tool boxes. No accidents, no dings, no dents, and garage kept. Battery is 3 months old. The bike was repainted because soon after I purchased it the paint started fading and kept fading and looked terrible after 1 year. Hate to part with it but after 20 years of holding on to hope to be able to ride again the reality is I am unable to ride anymore. Want bike to go to a home where it will be ridden because it is a blast to ride. Harley only made this bike set up for 1 year and made changes to the motor that made it difficult to access the starter among other things on all the following years springers.
