The Ducati 999 has, at its heart, a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 999cc, 90-degree V-Twin powerplant paired to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive, that can produce a claimed 124 horsepower and 102 Nm of torque. It also comes with features such as dual headlights, a full-fairing with a small windscreen, cast-aluminum wheels, a Showa, TiN-coated, 43mm upside-down telescopic fork coupled to a Showa monoshock with progressive linkage rear suspension, Brembo brakes with dual front discs and a single disc in the rear, an under-seat exhaust system, and a digital instrument cluster. The 999 is probably the most comfortable Ducati superbike, with a neutral, flat seating position which does not place too much weight on the rider’s wrists. This bike has been customized with a twin carbon fiber Remus exhaust system, and the Electronic Control Unit has been reprogrammed for this new exhaust, adding 5-10 HP over stock. It has two different gearing options. It has a Ducati Comfort seat. I have taken meticulous care of it since new; always the best Motul V300 synthetic oil changed before 3000 miles, never dropped, never ridden on a track, always garaged. Brand new and just added: Two new Michelin Pilot Power 2CT tires. New battery Brake and clutch fluid flushed and replaced. Coolant flushed and replaced. New Air Cleaners. New Fuel Filter. New timing belts. Fuel injectors cleaned. Fresh Motul V300 synthetic oil. New spark plugs. Only 4600 miles since I bought it as the original owner!
