Built to win. The 1198 R Corse Special Edition marks the historic introduction of a new Ducati Corse logo and features a factory team-style aluminum fuel tank, bold Corse color scheme and a race kit. Last of the 1098/1198 "R" Models; very few imported into the US (This bike is #20!) Homologated engine for World Superbike is very unique - Sand cast engine cases -Billet/nitrided/lightened crankshaft -Titanium valves, Pankl titanium connecting rods - DucShop installed Microtec ECM, re-mapped on dyno, 170 rear wheel hp, 97lb/ft torque with no internal engine mods - Full Termignoni exhaust system - DucShop flat rate rear link, re valved Ohlins TTX - DucShop 30mm offset triple clamps - Upgraded springs F and R for 220lb rider (w/helmet /leather /boots) - SpeedyMoto clip ons with risers - Rizoma rear sets - Yoyodyne clutch slave cylinder, Speedymoto open billet clutch cover - New Pirelli Supercorsa SP tires w/100 or so miles - 3200 miles on odometer, rode 1000 break-in miles before track time - All track time with Sharkskinz Bodywork, orginal bodywork re-installed and pristine!
