This bike is basically new and needs its 1,000 mile service. I haven't rode the bike in the past two years and it has been parked in my 70 degree office since. With just adding two kids to the family there is no time to ride. I have added a full Termi exhaust, smoke windscreen, new battery, and custom rear signal delete. Ducati 1198 has 9,6xx miles on it. It has had the desmo (7500 mile) service by Battley Cycle in Gaithersburg. It has slip on Termignoni Exhausts installed with the upgraded ECU. It also has a new starter kit installed recently. The body parts (except for the tank) are non-OEM plastic from eBay. I have some OEM body parts for sale as well for separate price. I also have the original stock cans, ECU and lambda sensor for this bike which can be provided with the bike at a lower price (I would keep the termi's in that case). Bike is in good order and runs very well. This bike handles better than my other two 1198's (for some reason). Tires are fair. The battery is new and has a strong charge. I rode the bike on the Tail of the Dragon last October but it is garaged kept otherwise. I bought the bike from Battley used. The decal has an "S" on the decal but this is not an S model. The clutch plates were replaced and have 2,500 miles on them. This bike has Showa suspension front and rear. I am selling the bike because I have two other 1198's so I don't need this one. Will entertain offers.

This 2009 Ducati 1198 has 9600 miles. It has had the recommended desmo service at 7500 miles. This bike has replacement (non-OEM) plastic body parts. The decal on the mid-fairing says 1198 R but this is not an R, only a standard 1198. The bike does not come with the rear seat or rear foot pegs. Tires are in fair condition. Clutch plates have about 3,000 miles. It also has a new starter kit which corrects the starting issue with bikes of this genre. Included are the slip-on Termignoni exhaust. Original code card and two keys included but no manual. Local delivery from Germantown MD or Fairfax VA can be arranged.
