The Ducati Scrambler 450 CC was produced from 1969 to 1976, first targeted for North America they become a desired ride in Italy. The 450 saw significant success in both flat track and off road racing during its hay day. This particular Scrambler was a barn find discovered in Oregon, restored locally and retrieved by Ducati of Bellevue who we subsequently purchased it from. The serial number puts it in the first 250 units built from 1969, very early production for the Jupiter model. Through 1970 the earlier production bikes had the single tachometer, post 1970 they were produced with dual instrument displays of tachometer and speedometer. The Ducati Scrambler was the brand name for a series of single cylinder scrambler motorcycles made by Ducati for the American market from 1962 until 1974, and with the production of the new Ducati Scrambler in 2015 Its creation is attributed to the American Berliner Motor Corporation. Models were produced in 250 cc through 450 cc displacements. The 450 variant was sold as the "Jupiter" in the United States.
