For sale no trades please No test rides without cash in hand, I had one of my bikes dropped on a test ride in the past.....sorry. So, why am I selling: I always told my wife that I loved this bike and that if I ever found another one with very low miles on it I would buy it to replace this one. Well earlier this year one came available with less than 4K miles on it so I bought it. I have no use for my 06 now but I made sure to fix the brakes on it before I sold it as I wanted someone else to enjoy it as much as I have. Probably a dumb move to put $3200.00 in the brakes and then want to sell it but the bike needed to be right before it left the house. My loss your gain. Tires: Front Continental TKC 80 Rear: Heideneau K60 A brand new set of front/rear Kenda Big Block tires will be included as well All of the major problem areas have been addressed on this bike so you should have many many care free miles.....absolutely been a fabulous bike which has never broken down on me ever. I do all my own maintenance except for the difficult stuff which is done by Morton's BMW in Fredericksburg Virginia. Factory recalls for the fuel pump and rear wheel flange have been done. Pros Fuel gauge has a real float and not that stupid POS fuel strip (works beautifully and dead on) 10 gallon tank which can be completely used, put 10 gallons in it a few times, range is somewhere in the 420 to 440 mile range, no need to carry extra gas! Bike computer with miles to empty, fuel mileage, average speed, temperature Final drive replaced with a used unit which has about 15K miles on it Drive shaft u-joints were replaced by Bruno less than 2K miles ago Servo brake/ABS unit replaced with new BMW unit less than 1K miles ago ($$$$$) Front master cylinder replaced with new BMW unit less than 1K miles ago Front brake switch replaced less than 1K miles ago Less than 5K miles on factory seats Less than 5K miles on factory shocks Headlight protection by Touratech Side stand large foot by Touratech Fuel line protection by Touratech Throttle position switch protection by Touratech Front brake master cylinder protection Rear master cylinder protection Clutch master cylinder protection Oil cooler protector Fully adjustable clutch/front brake lever for pull and length (Wunderlich Vario levers) Jesse luggage with lid carriers Luggage support for left bag Remus header PIAA Driving lights (spot) very nice for driving at night Factory GSA driving lights Exhaust extension (keeps your luggage contents from getting hot Large/loud horn installed (use it and people will move) Aftermarket LED tail light insert Factory alarm with all new batteries Also has a throttle lock (mechanical cruise control) Cons Corrosion on front cover near alternator belt from winter riding Corrosion on center stand from winter riding Jesse bags have a few small dents Jesse bags locks are loose (still function as designed) Sticker residue on Jesse bags Jesse bags could use a fresh coat of paint due to scuffs and scratches Marring on windshield support from TT GPS mount (not included) Factory valve cover protection has a few small dents and scratches from drops while Adventure riding, didn't bother me and it never compromised the protection so I didn't bother replacing

n old blacksmith once told me, when you walk around with a hammer in your hand all day, everything looks like a nail. This bike is no different. When you ride it, everything seems very doable. It's powerplant is great for inspiring a new rider, or bringing out the kid in all of us. The (2004) bike is reliable, just your like your hammer. Never left me stranded. The really awesome about this bike. It's got an amazing amount of accessories, much like one would put lipstick on a pig. I doubt you find a DR200 with as much in accessories as this one. It's a disease around this place, and somehow, we got our grubby hands on this one too! 1) Suspension: As an entry level bike, the OEM suspension was unremarkable and pogo-ie., so I upgraded both ends and what a difference it made! Front Forks have been upgraded by Racetech with Gold valves and heavier springs Rear Shock is a Works Performance unit 2) Rear Fender If you were a purist, beauty is where function meets form. That is true except when speaking of the hideous OEM rear fender. I replaced it with a more modern, MX type fender. 3) Rear Tail Light LED The rear tail light has been upgraded to LED. The following parts were usedEdge2 Tail LightDRC Edge2 Processor Upgrade Board) by 12 O'clock Labs Quote: This unit gives programmable integrated turn signals to the Edge / Edge2 tail light, as well as safety brake pulsing, a drop in replacement for the OEM led board, the unit also has brighter led's than the stock edge2 board, and is designed with 500,000 life hour capacitors for exceptionally long life operation 4) Rear Luggage Rack by ManRacks 5) Ricochet SkidPlate 6) Front Hand guards which are ProBends By Cyra and Pillow Top Grips 7) Front clutch lever is adjustable 8) Unbreakable Mirrors by Double Take 9) Power mount for a Zumo 660 (Does have a crack in the plastic, but seems to work fine) 10) Front brake line was replaced with Stainless Steel 11) Bar risers 12) After market bars with a higher bend (Protaper SE HandleBars) The not so glorious about this bike: 1) The body plastic has wear. White plastic never stays white. This one is no exception. 2) The left side gas tank has a big dent. It doesn't affect the functionality, but it's a bit of an eyesore 3) The paint has been rubbed by leg contact on the tank. The it probably doesn't matter much: 1) The previous owner(s) modified the airbox. It's suppose to allow more air in and pep up the motor. It's a DR200, I don't think it helped nor hurt the bike so I never fiddled with it 2) The same folks also modified the OEM muffler. I assume that they removed the CAT and maybe shortened it. Again, never bothered me enough to investigate it. Included in the sale is the OEM repair manual, owners manuals, my maintenance log book, and clean title. Local Pickup only. 20 Miles South of Washington DC
